"I started as a Seasonal Guest Advocate at Target on October 14, and there are 3 or 4 of us hired seasonally for this position. I feel like I’ve been doing a great job and have taken on more responsibilities than the others. For example, I’m often asked to cover multiple roles when it’s busy. I mainly work as a cashier, but I also have shifts at the service desk once a week. I help cover my trainer’s breaks at the self-checkout and have even been entrusted with the register keys. Just recently, one of my trainers thanked me for always being so flexible. Last week, a new seasonal hire was assigned to my register, and our HR said, ‘You can stay here with her, she does her job really well,’ and asked me to show her how things are done. Tomorrow, I’m also being trained for cash office. Given all of this, what do you think my chances are of being offered a permanent position?
UPDATE
So..I’m at work currently, and I was told my manager made a mistake scheduling me at cash office, because what they were trying to do is training me for closing shifts (picking up the money from the registers at the end of the day and shut them down I believe, I’m not sure how that parts work really).
Anyway, I’m still positive. I believe I’m doing a good job and I’m the only one they are constantly training, and even if they cant keep me right now I’m trying to do my best and maybe re-apply for a permanent position. Thanks all for the nice comments!
