There's really no time limit, in my district anyway. I've seen regular TM's get promoted to SrTL. Some SrTL's are hired straight in as well.

Definitely. It’s worth it to me. You gain a lot of experience, and the pay isn’t bad at all. I’ve talked to several people about it and none of them said don’t do it.

The thing is SrTL is being phased out too.. it will be much more harder to acquire the close equivalent (closing lead) as there is only one per store.

I beg to differ. It’ll be a different audience that wants it. Neither one of our seniors want it because it’s closing and they have family. It’ll be a whole new group of people that want/get it or my assumption is a lot of younger TMs

Yup, the youngest (Sr) TL in my store is taking the closing gig. Single, no kids.
