MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Anyone else still have the big grey endcap toppers that stick out like 8 inches? A lot of them are broken and we can't order parts for them anymore. But I guess we can't get the new ones without a remodel.

You can order the white endcap headers before remodel - we had a mix of both (our seasonal department all used white) because all of our gray broke for seasonal and we could never find any replacements for the department.

Maybe they just didn't want to use the fixture budget for it, so they were trying to get the DSD to approve it for free. I do wish they would just bite the bullet. The old ones suck so much.

I think because they want aisle numbers on the entertainment fixtures going forward. I already put white on mine (due to grocery sharing the same block) but it’s gonna look so tacky going forward. Especially with the border.

Ours already have numbers on them from remodel a couple years ago- grey to match the rest of the block.

I agree, using those new stickers will look tacky on the wood fixtures.

I can’t wait for the fix it kit for the fix it kit for those aisle numbers. I get it’s meant to speed up the process but more and more I don’t like the idea of them lol.

Thankfully I still have all of the aisle numbers from remodel so I could always make another B10 from a Z10 with the extra B’s not used in that block. I did that a few times so far for quick blocks that needed it.

You know that new white sticker is going to fade differently than the plastic white piece of the endcap it gets stuck to and then is going to look out of place. But, hey, we're saving money here!

Also, why is there a grey aisle marker on what looks like an entertainment fixture? Grey is only for F&B, right? 🤔

I do love the instructions with all the parts numbers listed though! If they could just make versions of these that would work everywhere in Style now, that'd be fantastic!!
I’ve always used white numbering in food and beauty, other than that it’s white. Also the parts have been listed in the endcap keep toss list for a while now.

I love that target sent like 30 fins for the 5/3 reset and then like 30 more for the 5/10 food transitions but didn’t send any holders for them.

Sure let me just pull 60 fin holders from the thin air.
Probably assuming that stores still have all of them from the old 4x14 Low Price fins that Market used to have. Jokes on them, I used all of those for other transitions.

What's also been great is if they do send holders, none of them are the same! Literally have seen 3 different types sent for OTC--and not because they needed to attach differently, they were all for shelves. Or they send the wrong one that won't work.

Lol - Ours are all missing the plastic pieces so they get thrown out, or used in different transitions as well.

Not only did they send three different types, they also didn't send the correct ones/sometimes none for the vitamins which are on rolling shelves that require a magnetic gripper to work.

I wish they would stop with the fins/the founder cards they love to use in food because they always hit the floor within a week (sometimes even the next day!) and go missing.

Just like these new outriggers because my store has metros they refuse to cut and people just keep clipping them 🙄

With the vitamins, the magnetic ones won't work on the older shelves- there's no metal underneath where it needs to attach. Those signs got tossed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But you should’ve ordered replacements for the shelves to put them out! /s

I already walked babies and otc, half the fins are missing already. Like why did I even waste my time putting them up
