I went to work this past week after fired after being there 20 minutes.

I worked there for over 9 years.

I was told I haven't been hitting the pull percentages in my department even though THEY DON'T hit them on my days off either.

My TL wanted to show me what they were THAT HE WROTE ON A PIECE OF PAPER.

I didn't bother to look at it.

The dumb thing is I haven't been working in that department much but up front as a SCO and GA.

They said just doing those jobs wasn't an option.

Seems pretty dumb to me.

Wow that's crazy, no warnings or coachings before that?
A few coachings for Pull Percentage goals and I got a CA 9/2023 and 12/2023.

That is before you actually see the percentages in Myday.

However I noticed the CA from 12/2023 "disappeared" from the system about two months ago but the one from 9/2023 is still there.

I think my TL thought I would be really upset.

I am almost 60 and be fired and/or laid off a few times.

It sucks but it isn't the end of the world.

It is not the end of the world, it's a new beginning to something more sane and worthwhile. I have no idea what the hell pull percentage is but you were a target, pun not intended. This sounds like a clear cut case of age discrimination. BTW nothing disappears, it was hidden, concealed and calculated. We had a real bitch of a TL in Logistics who was out to screw over older guys who had normal lives. Her personal situation was all fucked up. It carried over to the workplace.

Your last couple of sentences make a lot of sense in my situation.

You can't blame problems in your department on just one individual if you have ten other TMs.

Insecurity plus she carried a shitload of baggage to work. We all have life's distractions and they are hard to dismiss. When the focus is on a reasonably normal team member it's all too apparent and obvious. She Schadenfreud'ed her miserable ass right out of a decent job by fucking with the wrong folks.

Sorry to hear that Dream Baby.

My position at my old job was eliminated about a year before the store closed for good, and when they called me in to tell me, the store manager and my direct supervisor looked so distraught (fake I'm sure). I told them, I'm fine. Then I left the office, went on break and did a literal happy dance. On to better things!

Sorry that happened to you, sounds like they scapegoated you for all the red pull percentages. That was dumb, to fire someone with 9 years experience who can work the frontend right before the holidays, and the TL with “evidence” written on a piece of paper needs to get a clue and learn proper procedures. But that’s Spot for you. There is Life after Target, and if there’s a Costco near you, I hear it’s a great company to work for. Good luck!🍀

Thanks.

A former TM told me they did a "all hands on deck" to get the pulls down that night and probably all this upcoming week since I was already scheduled.

In the past I noticed Target is good at firing a TM then realizing there is no one doing that job.

The real loser here is the Closing TL since I worked afternoons.

He now has to worry about all those pulls with not enough staffing.

Finally Target must of thought dumping me before 4th quarter would solve all their problems.

That's how they cut expenses. Seriously if Target went belly up, my local store, it would make absolutely no difference to me. Walmart has plenty of shit and the supermarkets are better for groceries.

The Walmart and Meijer are closer than my former Target.

I walk to Kroger fairly frequently.

I had never been to my former Target before my interview.
