Know your state laws in regards to eavesdropping and you'll have your answer. Target isn't going to risk liability over something like that.

If you want to ask your AP, just ask them if it's legal to record audio in your state. If they don't know then they need to know.

It sounds like you may be doing something to give AP a reason to watch you?
So if you think there's a chance AP may be watching you, I can 100% guarantee that AP is watching you
Sorry no cctv in my state has to have a sign saying audio recording in progress if it doesn't then that is grounds to sue.

Why would you be looking for a reason to sue if you haven't done anything wrong? This sounds like you're trying to get back at your store for disciplining you.

And if you try to sue them for this, you WILL lose your job AND the case. All Target would have to do to fight it would be to throw up some signs or turn off the volume/recording while the investigation occurs.

Hmm, I guess you didn't notice signs saying are security cameras are in place in electronics, parking lot or guest services. I am thinking spot is watching the op.
In my state it has to state that it has audio otherwise that is grounds to sue.

Because this is for the future and need monry.

This is by far the most interesting thing I've ever seen you post. Like, as a fellow human being, I'm seriously concerned for both your mental well-being and the state of our country's educational system. But as a Psych major, I really just want to lock you in a room and ask you random questions to see what you spout out. I could probably get my doctorate with the material you'd give me as my research subject...

The safety and security of Target Guests & Team Members is a top priority for the company, which is why Target invests millions of dollars every year into Asset Protection.

As such, Target's Legal Team, considers any information regarding the day to day operations of the company, a trade secret. And actively pursues legal action against people, discussing the company's security procedures. So... for the protection of The Break Room. I am closing this thread, and locking it to prevent further posts.

Any more questions should be directed to Target Corporate, who can be reached at 1-800-440-0680.
