Start work date now or later ??

Hi there !! I just had a quick question ...I’ve been recently hired on to the team very excited !
So I was told that my orientation date would be 10/30 (day before Halloween) and I was curious because I’ve heard so many different things ..... will my training/ start date be the following day (Halloween day the 31st?) or do they schedule you a week from the orientation date ?? I just need to know if I have to cancel my plans for Halloween or not lol.

Thanks ! And Yeah that was my exact guess, I have littles( almost 2 y.o.) or else I wouldn’t be worried about working Halloween haha , thanks for the reply!!

Training schedules are usually only 4 or 5 hour shifts so chances are you can still do your plans even if you work that day unless you are traveling. Its also possible to ask to not work that one day for training.
