Struggling with style items in SFS

Hello!

Recently picked for two days and I’m struggling with the floor pad in style. I understand where stuff is divided by categories and I know the brands. The issue comes when I have to find stuff and I cannot find it on the sales floor. I have the RFID gun but even then it sometimes disconnects. I get it start panicking because sometimes it’s like 10 clothing items I cannot find.

I ask for help from the style team members but sometimes even they don’t know where it is, one time the style lead looked annoyed helping me and even then they had to use the RFID gun to help find like ten of those items.

I feel like I’m bothering asking for help.

I know to check reshop and the back. I need some helpful tips of how you guys tackle this issue? Reshop for style in our store gets bad to the point we have to dig through tonto find a style item. Mostly I’m scared to ask for help because I heard the style leads make comments to themselves about how I was struggling.

My advice talk to your leader and explain your struggles. Your can help you and might even talk to the style leads for you. Also talk to other flex people they can give you tips specific to your store. What works for one store may not work for another.

It sounds like there is a bigger issue at your store. If your store is struggling to maintain reshop, it is also likely struggling to maintain a good brand on the style floorpads- this is what is killing your ability to find items. Having a good zone and routines in place to keep up with reshop and freight makes a huge difference in finding items.

It also seems like the leaders who get annoyed helping you don't understand the importance of finding items: those are guaranteed dollars for your store and with Target's current struggles in the retail landscape, every dollar counts.

I agree that you should talk to your leader so that they can have a conversation with the rest of leadership (TLs and ETLs) on expectations in Style and why they are important to your store's overall health.

Talked to my ETL who said he gets it and it’s a lot and that’s it. My TL said just to pass the RFID in reshop and fitting room and the floor. Later check the backroom if I cannot find and then check with a lead. I was told by the ff team pace setters not to depend too much on the RFID gun. Also the style leads be annoyed if they end up finding the stuff but I mean I’m new now it’s like I gotta worry now about them being annoyed. I just feel like the RFID it drags because then it connects and disconnect everyone just tells me it will take time. Yet I’m fearing I’m gonna get it if I cannot hurry up.
