So last night at work a co worker asked me to pick up a shift Sunday so we got the shift form signed by the LOD, but today when I looked online at the schedule the shift wasn't added. What should I do? I don't want to go in Sunday and not have the shift and also don't want him to have a ncns

If the form was signed off on, you are responsible for the shift. Someone may go through and add in the changes all at once, or you may have to have your punch overridden when you go in. But once it was signed off on, your coworker was off the hook, and you are responsible, whether or not the computer is updated.

Okay that's fine I planned on going in. I'm more worried about him getting a ncns if something went wrong.

At my store, the first thing we did if someone didn't show up for a shift was check the swap shift board to see if they put the shift on it. If they had, and someone else had signed up to take the shift, it was on that second person.

We don't have a swap shift board. We just have a LOD sign off on it and put it in HRs box.

No you and him will be fine. I took a shift once and it didn't show up online for a few days. Also sometimes it never goes in the computer and you just get an over ride from a lod when punching in if it doesn't let you

i wish this was the case at my store, a few months ago someone took my shift i told the lod the day before that it still needed signing off on but he forgot and never signed it and the person who took my shift didn't show up that day so i got called. next time i saw the lod who told me he would sign off told me i was okay and it was his mistake.
