MEGATHREAD Target myDevices

I have done it, but its been ages, can I get a crash course so I can remember what I am doing??

That is usually what I say when asked.. Cause I don't do PC on the regular.. But I like backroom, its simple or was before the MyDevice.

You want to know how to ticket the backroom with a mydevice?

Oh yeah, Kids was really big today. So if your store didnt hop into it Sunday, and werent able to work today, that'll take 2 tms all day by itself. :( good luck

I was on pricing sunday, but I was still working on thursdays workload -_- the workload was 5000 thursday but they only gave us 2 people again (shocker) and nobody helped us. the etls dont care about pricing at all. so it took me friday and sunday and i still wasnt done with thursdays stuff. the person that was there today was finishing up fridays stuff so we didnt touch boys/girls/infants at all today.
I wish there was someone higher up i could talk to about them seriously shafting our pricing hours but if it takes a couple weeks of our score being flaming red maybe that will change their minds

Haha ok. It's very simple. If you can do instocks on the mydevice it's the same path-driven list. You should pick it up fast when it hits your mydevices.

Ok. That makes sense. I try not to do PC to much, cause when you do they schedule you there.. A lot.. I have no problems helping once in a while but I don't want to have to get up for a 4am start time.. Yes my store is still 4am..

And sincee I'm throwing out suggestions, I think a little "percent ready" indicator on the POG screens would be amazing. Especially for sales planners. Just like how it is on online planogram.
Coming in the next release™

The naming system makes a lot of sense to me and I really like it but occasionally, it would be nice if you could rename the batch. Say I'm dropping SP POGs to fill my endcaps and one drops as ALL-CNDY-0. The system for my store (with the exception of CAFS) is to write the batch name on a piece of paper and put it on the line. If anyone other than me (at my store this is the case 95% of the time) works the pull, they'll likely push it to the home first. If we had the ability to rename the batches, I could name it something like w6EndCap and the pusher would (popefully) know it was supposed to go to the endcap first.
Thanks that's helpful I hadn't seen anyone attached pieces of paper to a pull, but I figured it might be something low tech like that :)
I'll look and see what we can do.

Having the ability to change capacities would be phenomenal. I've never understood why we couldn't because, as everyone knows, ASSANTS.

Will the capacity changed be seen only on the store level, or will it also work with "HQ ordered" items.

I'm actually excited. And, I just can't hide it.
While I am clearly not everyone as I have no clue what ASSANTS is, but it will work on any item with a location.

We have ETLs who don't care when people smash equipment or leave it in the freezer so we may know who did it, but they won't do crap about it. You can lead a horse to water..
Well if even the ETLs want to burn down the store I don't think giving only specific users access is going to help much. But WORST case scenario if TMs are trying to destroy a store I can just put the store in a time out and take the ability away at a drop of a hat with the toggle we coded in :)

@OtherGuy They don't have plans to scrap the pricing app in RF apps anytime soon do they?
I know theyre taking out SIM, and PCV, but I really hope we can get these problems fixed with the MyDevice before they take the whole thing out. They really should leave it in for backup until there hasn't been problems with the mydevice for a couple months.

The only way I've been getting my work done is because we have a couple extra PDAs in the store that we Labeled "Price Change Only". :(
You'll have price change on the PDA for at least until the end of the year.

To help prevent it getting to this worst case scenario, could a report be generated on Work Bench that would show all capacity changes in the last 60 to 90 days, and who made the change?

We need the ability to do research on discontinued items. With flexible fullfillment there are times we don't have an item and we need to update the OH but can't. It would help with unfullfilled items. Another question why can't we update the OH's of hanging softlines. Now if I want to update a count I have to send in a store count adjustment through price change and this takes up to 5 days, I heard that this was going away.

Actually, that's not the case at all. My store has an amazing log team. We have the issue with the Instocks team. They shoot their batch and then fill the home instead of ends.

At least your instocks team runs their pulls. In my case the backroom often does not get them pulled until 2-3 pm.

Current process is to mysupport it. Last I'd heard it would then drop into PC workload somehow.

@OtherGuy can you conf

Then your backroom is bleeding red ink.. They have an hour to pull that shit.. WTF? Are they doing?

I think the timeframe is noon for the research batches, as that task list has a completion time of 11 am for scans on the sales floor.

As for the backroom team --
Not being performanced out the door by their TL. I have to send my people back there 2-3 times a week to help them pull the hourly batches. Their excuse is they get pulled off their tasks to do flex orders. Which, by the way I usually have to call back to tell them that they have. I put in salesplan batches 2 days out so they can get them done by the time I plan on putting them up.

They have an hour from when the batch drops not from when you are done scanning. Flex orders well they need to call out that they need help from leadership. My store we have a couple ETL's that will get their hands dirty when we get slammed. And if they are that behind the schedule needs to be looked at. And two days for a sales planner? Are you kidding me? Red ink lots of red ink from your backroom.

Hey @OtherGuy asants means:
  1. All Stores Are Not The Same (A.S.A.N.T.S) commie's sug.

Well that's better than ASSANTS as @DoWork wrote, for a second I thought the stores might have an insect issue in their khakis ;)

I can ask the replenishment team what their ideas are for this, but I'm kind of surprised to see people are concerned about this much at all as thereare plenty of other ways already out there people could destroy the system using existing apps if they really wanted to, some of which that would be a LOT quicker to execute (yeah I'm not sharing, haha)
Also the ability to toggle it off was never meant as a worst case scenario option, it's actually just there so we can slowly roll it out as we are testing it. I just bring it up as a reassurance.

Working on discontinued items as we have heard that exact issue.
Really the only reason you can't right now for hanging items is because they don't have a location, we've been tossing around the idea of allowing it.

Yeah its called COUNTS in price change, and that's what I am currently working on getting rid of as the process is terrible.

I'm not sure I understand the question, config what?

If you worked in a store for two to three months, and saw what we see, you wouldn't be surprised.o_O

Kind of OT but my store was the same way until about a month ago (not quite that bad) but we finally started getting more PC hours. Finally our accuracy and timeliness are getting better.

Lol @OtherGuy about the low tech way of knowing where pog pulls go. Same at my store, aisle number and "POG" are what we list.

Nevermind @OtherGuy, it was a start of a question that got answered. Start a thought put tablet down, three hours later pick it up and not delete what you never finished. My bad..

Update coming July 18th that is moving a lot of backroom functions to the MyDevice including EXF. I'm more concerned about the lack of devices we seem to have while we still have PDAs.

Exf is being moved? Just the creation, or can we actually work those with a myDevice?!

Yea Idk why everyone's so worried about capacity changes. You know how easy it is to tie and untie POGs right now? And you have to bring up adjacencis to fix those. The capacity change plan sounds amazing.
