MEGATHREAD Target myDevices

Capacity control would be lovely. Since it is wrong most of the time. I do hope that is a permission you must be given. I can see lazy idiots changing it to zero to stop it pulling in CAF rounds. Like basic sales floor not having the ability to change it.

I don't see why it'd be difficult to tie it into your login like most workbench stuff.

catch up on the zone, reshop, pushing pfresh truck, push backstock to the shelves from all the backstock metros in the freezer. please do NOT send anyone home early !!!!

I really wish they rolled the MyDevice ipods out as a replacement to the LPDAs. That way not EVERYONE in the whole store had to use them. Just leave them to the ETLs, team leads and that random salesfloor team member that wants one. I know they have nice features but if you just need to scan this item or pull this, backstock this or simple tasks it seems a lot better also Im still afraid of breaking one at some point only dropped 100+ times since we got them, but usually in the holder which seems to be made nice and snug at least.

I used to love how you could print any particular missing label on a pog, on the old PDAs, just by scanning an item before and after your missing label on the pog. It was a function within the label print app. Can we bring it on back?? @OtherGuy

I've addressed this before and no, everyone can do it. We also know who changed the capacity and the amount of work someone would have to do to destroy a store like that is just insane. Also say someone goes rouge, you can quickly nuke out their changes on a POG by untying the POG and tying it again. It's in everyone's best interest to have accurate capacities.

Do you or anyone else have a 10 character naming suggestion that would be better than the above?
The naming system makes a lot of sense to me and I really like it but occasionally, it would be nice if you could rename the batch. Say I'm dropping SP POGs to fill my endcaps and one drops as ALL-CNDY-0. The system for my store (with the exception of CAFS) is to write the batch name on a piece of paper and put it on the line. If anyone other than me (at my store this is the case 95% of the time) works the pull, they'll likely push it to the home first. If we had the ability to rename the batches, I could name it something like w6EndCap and the pusher would (popefully) know it was supposed to go to the endcap first.

Having the ability to change capacities would be phenomenal. I've never understood why we couldn't because, as everyone knows, ASSANTS.

Will the capacity changed be seen only on the store level, or will it also work with "HQ ordered" items.

I'm actually excited. And, I just can't hide it.

We have ETLs who don't care when people smash equipment or leave it in the freezer so we may know who did it, but they won't do crap about it. You can lead a horse to water..

The better question is why is the TM not checking for dual locations? I have had to take a TM to the backroom, have them take their backstock back to the floor to fill a sidecap.
Actually, that's not the case at all. My store has an amazing log team. We have the issue with the Instocks team. They shoot their batch and then fill the home instead of ends.

And sincee I'm throwing out suggestions, I think a little "percent ready" indicator on the POG screens would be amazing. Especially for sales planners. Just like how it is on online planogram.
Since the new Wokbench has rolled out, unless you are in R400, then you can get on Wokbench on the iPods if you desire to see the % without leaving the floor. It's not 100% ideal, but it's workable. Just a suggestion.

@OtherGuy They don't have plans to scrap the pricing app in RF apps anytime soon do they?
I know theyre taking out SIM, and PCV, but I really hope we can get these problems fixed with the MyDevice before they take the whole thing out. They really should leave it in for backup until there hasn't been problems with the mydevice for a couple months.

The only way I've been getting my work done is because we have a couple extra PDAs in the store that we Labeled "Price Change Only". :(

@OtherGuy Or maybe the batches for salesplanners should pop up SPL-A01-0 or something of the sort. That would be helpful too I think. or ECAP-A01-0.

This. I know Ping problems are a huge annoyance to most everyone in stores, but these problems completely, 100% cripple price change. We've had to rely on PDAs the last few times it's been down too. Often, with one person finding and scanning a whole zrack of stuff, and another person ticketing. This is totally inefficient, but at least this payroll isn't completely wasted on stray or pulls (which won't be paid back to help PC catch up later) and the process can move, albeit slowly...

One time both the mydevices and the printers went down at our store. Apparently we had one printer that didn't go down and one PDA. One tm followed the other around and ticketed, put up labels that were scanned. It was so inefficient. Then the tm picked up the printer by the strap and accidentally hit the wireless button and THAT printer went down too. So we stayed for like an hour and gathered all the stuff that was going clearance (by scanning in NOP) and then we left. Had to do 2 days work in 1.. it was horrible.

Our flow TL is like, you can push the truck or do abandons.. UHHH NO. If it's for 30 minutes while I'm waiting for it to come up, whatever. But if I'm not going to be able to do my work all day I'm leaving because my payroll NEEDS to be spent doing my job.

We had to scan Mens, shoes, intimates, sleep, c9, HBA, Stationary, Grocery, Small appliances, housewares, sporting goods and toys all in one day. But I can spend half my payroll pushing for you while I wait for the mydevices to come back up? Hahaha.

I'll happily help anyone if I have the time but I know PC won't ever get help in return, so that's why I have to send them home sometimes, and put in xtra hours later...

Yeah. They always ask for us to help, and we usually do what we can.. but when I need help ticketing the BR it's like pulling teeth. I get shrugs and sorrys.

I have done it, but its been ages, can I get a crash course so I can remember what I am doing??

That is usually what I say when asked.. Cause I don't do PC on the regular.. But I like backroom, its simple or was before the MyDevice.
