Answered Tips on a packed compactor?

Today our compactor was completely full of trash bags, I pushed the start button 3 times trying to get it to make space for more trash and used a shovel to shove everything down and in but it barely made a dent, what am I doing wrong?? Tips on trying to make space without taking everything out??

Also the Full button wasn't lit, could it just be full?

You may have a bridge gotta take it all out.

Sometimes those long ass boxes of furniture lay flat and create what I call a bridge so nothing can go down. Put them in standing up so they break in half.

No other way around it get a Gaylord big cardboard box and start taking all out.

If you turn the key the other way, something happens , like it goes in “reverse” and clears the jam?

Just keep pushing the button. If after 20 times it hasn't moved, then you have a problem

Why cardboard in compactor?

It’s the returns with furniture inside those boxes. And baby strollers inside boxes all returns.

You should not be operating the compactor without proper training.
