Archived What happens to TLs who have been caught stealing?

We've only had one TM caught stealing that I am aware of. Was a girl that worked in FA, she was promptly fired.

Okay, that was what I hoped, but I was wondering if I should start verifying every small price change when the guest in questions is a TM if that wasn't the case.

I'm not going to argue with a TM. If they tell me it is so, I make it so. But if my gut tells me something is off, I will either check it out later or mention it to ap.
 
I know if I ever get in trouble it is because I will have walked out with meat coupons in my pocket I forgot about.

I can't tell you how many blue pens I have at my house as well as flip labels.
 
I have 1-2 pens from the service desk, but think that's all I've accidentally came home with. Gotten to my car with walkies before, but realized before leaving and brought them back in.
 
We had a plano/pricing team lead who would get all kinds of deals ( this was when things would hit 90% off etc. She got tvs for less than 20. , grills less than 20.00 you get the picture. The funny thing is....these items were always "lost" till they hit 90 % off...then they were found....we all knew what she was doing but they let her get by wit it for years. Hell, she even bragged about selling part of the stuff at yard sales. She was fired though a couple years ago....not for stealing...but for performance issues.
 
If there is something clearance that I feel I just have to have and IF it s been marked and is still in the back waiting to be pushed....I will get someone. ie a salesfloor team member , to push it out to the floor ( on an endcap) and will let it sit there for awhile and will purchase it after I clock out . However, this is very rare that I will even do this .
 
I've seen the AP-ETL hold clearance for himself in the back. Did I say anything? Nope. When I moved stores a while back, I swiped an LPDA. I haven't used it at the new store yet though. Not sure if I'll have to reconfigure it or not.

And I don't bother with empty package finds. I just throw that shit away. Hell, I've become pretty apathetic about even defecting stuff. Just toss the broken shit. I'm not wasting my time with that crap.

Why would you take an LPDA
 
I was always told we are not allowed to get any kind of markdowns because of signs because we work at Target and know better. I cant roll up to Target tmrw and see they forgot to take down a sign for last weeks ad and expect them to give me that price.
 
Cause at my old store, we had to scramble for equipment. Luckily, at this store, they have enough equipment. So far. I have a back up if I ever need one. Sweet!

And you are the reason stores don't have equipment and won't order it. You don't give thieves more to steal. It will catch up to you and it will cost you.

Before Thanksgiving, someone put all the signs up on Sunday for Christmas trees 1/2 off when it was supposed to be only that following Saturday. I came into work and saw that all the trees had signs and got one thinking "Maybe they extended the deal because of competition." It rang up full price and I protested. GSTL changed it ($149 price drop) but I was a bit worried. Fortunately the ETL-GE said it was okay since the signs were up on all the trees. Even showing her the sign that said "Valid 11/xx" she still didn't understand the sale. They stayed up all week and I saw quite a few price challenges pop up on the PDA.
 
We had an 18-pack of Labatt's on clearance for $7.48

I will say I was guilty of turning it around so the clearance price wasn't showing, but left it in its clearance spot. It was a hard day so I sure as hell ran back (We had a few so I spread the word) bought it, took it home and gave it a huge hug.
 
I know there have been days I will walk by frequently to make sure a certain item is there, and hopefully will make it in Tims to get it on break. Back when we had car radios I saw a kid walking around in with it, and found it later right after I clocked back in ...by the next break it was gone.
