Hi

My store just started a new policy where we only have one hardlines and one softlines team member at night.
So an 8-4:30 and a 4:30 to close. At the end of the day we have: 1 HL, 1 SL, 1 Fitting room, 1 cashier, 1 GSA, 1 electronics and 1 LOD. And the hardlines is expected to do 15 pulls, 4x4 and zone ALONE.

Anyone else have this policy?

My store closes with 1 HL 1 SL 1 cashier 1 GSA 1 Electronics 1 LOD if that makes you feel any better. 1 minute after close that drops to 1 GSA and 1 LOD. Fitting room being a 2nd person in softlines ends at 8:30 PM.

Market: 7:45 - 8 PM
Electronics: 10 AM - 10 PM
Fitting Room: 11 AM - 8:30 PM
Softlines: 12 PM - 10 PM
Hardlines: 12 PM - 8 PM

1 Cashier 8-10 AM and 7:30 PM - 10 PM, 2 cashiers at a time during mid 10 AM - 7:30 PM
Service desk 12 PM - 8 PM (CO/Service desk normally, 9:45-4 PM opener shift then a closer 4-8)
GSA 7:45 AM - 10:30 PM

unless GSA is also cash office, then GSA 8:30ish AM - 10:30 PM.

1 person per workcenter at a time unless otherwise noted - and that's how the payroll cookie crumbles at a D-volume P-fresh.

Cel, even on the weekends?? We are ULV, but not a D (I don't think), last I looked we were "this close" to being a higher store too.

Today we had at least 4 cashiers until I left at 5. It wasn't enough, but better than our midweek 2. Tomorrow we will have one after 8 I assume, since I get off at 8.

Same on the weekends except service desk (and maybe salesfloor hours? not sure) get extended by a bit. SD starts when the store opens, and I think sales floor might start at 10 or 11. Cashiers stay the same. Cart attendants have been a non-entity since april.

We are close to not bring ULV I think, so that must be our boost. We have CA hours, 2 a day, but late and with a gap, then not late. Same for SD, but there isn't the gap.

We've been busier than I thought we'd be this summer, but I think our part-time to permanent population count is shifting (great, more traffic). To be honest, I never thought I'd get more than 9ish hours all summer given how many cashiers we had and our population drop.

Ugh. They need to pull their heads out of their behinds and equate warm bodies on the floor to good customer service.
