During my Specialist/GSA stint, I had a long-time cashier who I could trust with any trainee.
She kept up with software updates, policy changes, coupon policies, could spot a scammer a mile off, alerted me or AP of suspicious activity, always cheerful with guests, zoned endcaps like a pro, you name it.
But she was happy where she was & had no inclination to move up.
She moved to be near her elderly mother & transferred to another store.
Missed her dearly.
