Archived Amazing vibe moments!

One, I was doing something else and a guest was looking for a specific children's book. He was thrilled that we had exactly the number he needed. And then he said the price was something different, so I adjusted it down when I took him to a lane to get him checked out. It was amazing-ish.

Another guest was looking for just the right gift card for her grandson's birthday. I found one of the monster truck ones (they are scarce at my store right now) and said that would be great for a boy. She liked it and it was amazing-ish.

My only other amazing moment was when the GSTL asked me to go into the restroom to check on a report of "spilled water." I took one look at it, realized that the report was grossly understated, said to the other TM who was in there washing up from using the restroom that that was below my pay grade and went to report the code brown to my GSTL. That was amazing that I don't have biohazard training.

Amazing, heck.....I'd call that good fortune. lol

I havent seen any scratch off cards from the seasonal peeps. Anybody else??

I got one. It told me I was doing an amazing job and I should give someone a high five. I know at least one more person that had one and was debating on who to give it to.

I'm surprised I haven't heard for a push for them this month. Of course I haven't been to more than maybe half a huddle yet, so I may just have missed it.

I think they are realizing the draw backs to vibing this time of year.
It's kind of like setting to planogram.
Sounds great in practice and all but the minute the rubber hits the road, the new guy on flow team is going to overpush, the TL in a hurry is going to do a half revision over the top of it, the guest is going to set the half case of lights they decided they didn't want on top and there you are ...
It'll all come back in January.

I actually actively avoid huddles during the day now. The last one I went to, we had to have waited nearly a minute for someone to make up a "moment" because we'd only been open for a couple hours. As they're initiating the new hires into the Vibe, I'm just hoping they don't double check to see who's signed off on having been put through the Vibe intro and who hasn't... I've managed to avoid it thus far and my ETL didn't seem to think it was important when I mentioned it to her (to cover my back).

I got a VIBE card for my dealing with the inflatable Santa guest. (see scary guest thread) I have not heard about any scratch offs, so I assume we're not doing them. I am curious how much money it's costing doing Vibe stuff. The number of times a day I just have to change the price because the guest "saw a sign" is getting out of hand. We rarely have anyone actually go check anything, unless it's over $30+ difference. We're even doing missed coupons when the guest insists there's suppose to be a gift card with said item. I'm all about making the guest happy, but we have to draw the line somewhere.

I was really looking forward to some knucklehead getting the "LOD for a day" scratch off card....this sucks

Our STL went vibe crazy in our last TL meeting. He actually followed the meeting agenda crap. It was so stupid, 1 or 2 TLs had been doing the vibe BS so of course he praises them and basically tells everyone else that if we're not vibing and want to work there then we need to look elsewhere.

Lets share our amazing vibe moments from guests!
Today i recognized a fellow tl for going the extra inch and providing a guest with an amazing moment :)

Hahaha so that TL, who I assume is male, finally gave a female an orgasm?

We have to send out weekly recaps of our amazing moments....lmao...i guess they wanna know about my "amazing moment" before work??? hahaha i cannot take this stuff seriously

Me having an amazing moment before work would be finding a new porn site that I've never visited before?

We have 5 vibe cards on the board this month so far, all written by my stl.

the last GTC card i remember getting from spot was written by my STL at the time (the store I worked at NOW has a different STL) and it was, and i quote "thanks for being safe and using under 25 carts on the cart pusher!"

*in a pompous, self-important voice:
I hereby RECOGNIZE you for....er, um, wait....who the he]] are you again...????
Mmmmm, nevermind.

I'm a newbie -- but I swear I heard something almost identical from one of my LOD's last week! Is that verbiage standard issue Target? :sarcastic2:

After posting :girl_sigh:, I realized that my direct supervisor, and others (ETL's, HR, etc.) have been supportive. So, I kind of needed to put the other comments in perspective. If I have supervisors who respect the work I do and want to train me, then that's (likely) about as good as it gets.

It is frustrating when you are treated like crap by some managers, but if I focus on the supervisors who support me being the best I can be, maybe I can ignore the "pompous, self-important voice" in the others.

i've gotten two of those scratch off cards. One told me that i was amazing and one gave me a vacation day!

I had an amazing huddle moment quite a few months ago. Our store was doing a stupid "Question of the Day" thing where they ask a question about Target and someone answers it. This was a day where I was pissed off at something... the question was "What do Team Leads do?" I, very instinctively shouted out "NOTHING!!" You should have seen the looks on everyone's faces, and they were all there due to their weekly meetings. My TL, standing right next to me, turns and has a face of horror. I turned bright red. It was talked about for weeks. The next day, it was "What do ETLs do?" I would have said the same thing, but I didn't want to get in hot water.

Some new weak TM-turned-TL went around asking "Durrr... Do you guys really think we do nothing??"

We had an amazing vibe moment today in which our two cashiers attempted to battle the long long lines of guests while backup was being called. One problem though...there's no one to back up!!! Except for the salesfloor TM who is stuck in electronics trying to help them with their backup.
