Archived Are there more hours in June?

I'd give them my two weeks notice, toot sweet.

You're practically unemployed anyway.

i was told swap shift board is going away, not replacing those that cannot work.

Speaking of June hours, I was in my old store this evening and it was sooooo dead. I was standing on the race track and I could see all the way to the back of the store, no one else was on it. Their sales have to be way off.

Our sales are up so we are staying open an hour longer 6 nights a week...I think they'll shell out more for payroll than they'll make in sales but what do I know?

It looks like most stores will be starting "summer hours" tomorrow. Our store will remain open until 11 on Sunday. We were previously open until 10 on Sunday's and 11 every other night. No mention of this has been made at huddles, so hopefully management is aware of this.

Days I needed extra hours, if the LOD and I were in good terms, I would ask them if there were any call outs or extra hours. Sometimes there weren't, but sometimes there were. It helped that I could be flexible between the salesfloor and front end.

Of course this didn't work so well when I had a lot of closing shifts. :p

I've watched my hours go from 35 to 20 to 15 and now 11 per week. My team members seem to be experiencing this also. Our team lead seems to be doing the bulk of our work the last two weeks. What;s happening?? Is this corporate wide??

At my store hrs don't pick up until August ( get ready for school supplies yay) and then continue on until September and then drop in october and of course pick back up in November. My schedule for this week I only work 4 days ( ouch) and Next week I only work 5 ( double ouch)

Thankfully as a PA i finally have a somewhat set schedule and get about 33 hours a week after years of it changing all the time even though we only have 3-4 people in the workcenter. 3 opening shifts and 2 closing shifts. I still wish I could just open market all the time because I hate closing but it wouldnt be fair to the other PA and they do a great job when they open.

I have 32hrs on the last schedule posted, which tells me hours are tight. The rest of the team has less than I do, but I negotiated keeping my PA hours when I moved over to signing. I've still got plenty of vacation hours to burn, and would rather have a long weekend anyway.

I really need to find a better paying job with guaranteed hours. I wish I could get out of this

I was always told TL and above are guaranteed 40. Part of it is because we really can't pick up shifts anymore.

But this week one of our TLs was told their shift was cut. There was a bit of an argument with hr about that one. They gave the shift back.

I am closing tonight and we have 2 hardlines, 1 market, 1 electronics, and 1 on the phone. The rest are cashier, etl, and gstl.

It's s rough one ;)

Sounds like my store on a weekday, only remove market and add AP

Turned out okay. Had a slow night, which is strange, even now in the era of not meeting sales goals.

We're an A, Volume 1 store, and the last time this happened was hell. Still got my Avengers salesplanner done in Toys too! Good thing I did that Turtles focal Monday though xD

Last year during the summer I was averaging about 30 hours a week, this summer it's around 24. On the new schedule I'm at 15 hours, if the swap shift board really is going away then I don't know what I'm going to do because thats where I get a lot of my hours.
