Auto denial of vacation

An American Eagle manager I know approves time off requests in four or five days.

She is a former Target TM.

Target should approve or deny a time off request in the same time period ESPECIALLY if it weeks or months from now.

I am going to request some days off next month and keep hounding my TL and/or HR ETL to approve it every week.

TLs can’t approve vacation in MyTime. Only ETLs.

So a time off request can auto denied if HR just sits on it.

How long of a time period is that?

I just resubmitted a day off request because is was still pending.

It was only for one day over SIX WEEKS in the future so WTF.

It should fall on your ETL/TL to approve or deny your requests off and availability changes, as they are responsible for their work centers. HR would only approve/deny in leadership absence.
I would mention to your HR that your leaders aren't approving your requests.

TL can approve... every TL in my store has access. Your HR ETL just has to go to modify approvers in my time self serv and give them access.

When I see a request "auto denied" it tells me that you just ignored it.

My store hardly uses mytime, the HRTM insists on paper everything...

It's amazing how inconsistent stores are when following the policy whatever it is.
