Hey there! I'm new to the TL position and have recently been given seasonal, toys, sporting goods, auto, electronics, bedding, home storage, and home improvement. Don't know if it's the same for all stores, but D, E, F, and seasonal (letter keeps changing - ha).

In any case, my ETL pulled me into the office just a couple of days ago to tell me that I need to figure out what to do with all of my endcaps when they blow out Thanksgiving and Black Friday. I thought I recalled the ETLs planning that out the years before, but I acknowledge his direction. HR told me that they do plan these things and that I should have been given a list of NCF-Toys to work with, which I haven't, and that I should go print it out though they had no idea where to find it. Can anyone PLEASE give me direction on this? I feel like I'm drowning this season and there's no one to look to. Thank you!

Welcome! There should be Black Friday planning book that your pog tl, Hletl. Etl-log, or stl should have a copy of. You can search on workbench or red wire for it too.

Thank you! I'll take a look, though I think it's a bit late for me. I really wish I had known earlier than a few days ago.

Look on TWT for sales planners with a set date of 11/29. Those are the endcaps you'll be setting after your 2 day endcaps blow. Don't listen to HR, you won't have any time to be pulling NCF from the back and remerching them into presentable endcaps.

If I were you (and had the time and resources) I would have them all pulled and staged, organized by POG or at least department with the POG labels ready to go. The sale endcaps are going to blow quick, and you want to be as ahead of the game re: pulling and mapping the backup endcaps as possible so they're ready to go up as soon as the endcaps blow.

Don't forget your risers should staged above said end caps,.

Is it me or did store just not really bother to set up this year? Our POG TL didn't start prep until yesterday. And today I know the panic will be large, cause his POG team got almost nothing done. Shippers out but nothing filled or de-trashed. Pallets of stuff still sitting up waiting to go.

I fear for today like when you see a car crash.

Our store is the same here. They only started on the overnight Monday into Tuesday.

Yep car is crashing in slow motion.. I am going to keep driving, since they didn't want our help even though we have dine the prep the last six years.
