Hi everyone.~ I'm going to give pretty much any even remotely relevant info about our process to you guys in hopes that it's enough context for the question.
I work flow (push) at a store with a 4:30 unload time (excluding holiday). We usually do five trucks a week when we're out of holiday. The two days that we don't get GMs, we do the autos (obviously) and get PFresh in.
I am regularly scheduled six days a week-- it dipped down to five maybe twice during the slow season-- and know that I've been warmly received by the TL&ETL since my onboarding in October. I only include the latter info because in some cases, slower/lesser liked TMs are scheduled to come in half an hour or an hour later than the rest of us on GM days.
This coming week, on a non-GM day, I'm scheduled to come in at 6 and stay for my typical shift length. My schedule does say unload, like it always has and always does. I flipped through the rest of the schedule and everyone else on "unload" that day is in at our typical 4:30 (or 4 if they're backroom-- whatever).
I thought it may have been a mistake, so I asked my ETL literally AS SHE WAS WALKING BY during an unload. I wasn't even anticipating an answer then-- I just wanted the thought in her head for her to maybe check up on later. But despite the totally off-the-cuff question, she practically answered before I was even done talking with an affirmative, "Yep. That's right."
I know it's subjective, but does anyone have any idea as to why the time may have been switched? My other five shifts that week are all normal (before and after), and the six the week after are also normal. Under different circumstances I'd write it off as nothing, but it's the combination of all of the factors not adding up that has me curious.
