Been at Target almost a year. Just got my review today. I started out at Food Ave at $9.25. EX with a 41¢ merit raise, $1.00 for the new base pay, and an additional 75¢ for moving to GSA. So I'll be at $11.41/hr. I believe that's a 15.2% increase before the additional 75¢? Overall increase of $2.16. Not complaining whatsoever. It's honestly pretty awesome since I'm only going to be a part-time GSA and will still be in Food Ave for a majority of the time. We don't have an official FATL position, but that's essentially what I am and they want me to continue to be "in charge" of Food Ave.

I'm expecting between nothing and 5 cents. I wouldn't be surprised if I got a U. I'm honestly tempted to say "hey, if you want me to just sign this, we don't have to go over it because I know you're about to head out for the day". HAHAHA!

I have said this every year since 2009 when I got my first review but I truly hope this is my last review ever at Target.

Got the $1.00 pay raise to 10 plus what I was making before and that was it.

Total slap in the face considering they gave cart attendants who do nothing more.

I have heard nothing about reviews. And now that I think about it - I never got one last year either. I switched work stations in feb/march last year and my old TL told me she needed to give me my review but then never followed thru. I wonder what score she gave me? Is there a way to find this out on EHR?

Your HR team should be able to look up your score and let you know. Ask them and tell them you never received a review.

My TL spent most of Saturday writing reviews for all of Flow, BR, and SFS. Still don't know when he'll start delivering them.

To all the veterans complaining about newbies making as much as you now...

... maybe take this golden opportunity to consider switching jobs? Never a better time to do so than when minimum wage increases (or the threat of increases) causes every other job in the area to boost their starting wages. Branch out and find that other job/career path that you always considered but felt that you made enough at Target that leaving would be counter-productive.

I knew what I was getting into when I applied.

I think it's great tgt is starting people at a wage that's closer to a living wage (yet still far because no one is getting living hours anyway), but I do feel slighted at the same time. I strongly dislike the company for a gang of other reasons.

I've been looking for a job. My last interview was for a sales lead job at this fancy store. I got an offer, but it paid $9 and only offered 15 hours lol. I wonder what the people below the leads make. I took a break from the job search to work on becoming a driving person, because I'll have more job options.

Does anyone know if base pay is being hiked selectively on a case-by-case basis and not company wide?

I don't know for sure but I doubt this is the case. It's more keeping up with our chief competitors in offering competitive pay. Now if you live in an area with over $10/Hr minimum already you're not getting an increase to reflect the new company minimum, or if you're already making more than the new minimum.

I'm sorry...but in Spot's eyes, there is no difference between someone who has been there a couple of years than someone who has been there 20 years because there is really no difference. Whether you are salesfloor, cashier, flow...They don't need your knowledge from 20 years ago...They need your knowledge on what they are doing now.

A soft lines person who zones, puts away strays, checks the fitting room, helps guests and does adjacencies....you can only become so proficient at it that the millions of years you have experience doing it simply don't matter over someone who has a couple of years doing it.

I saw cashiers who had been there six months who ran circles around the cashiers who had been there 20 years. There simply becomes a point when longevity means absolutely nothing in this sort of job.

I don't think TMs have to do adjacencies.

I don't really think I should be making more than someone who started 2 years ago (I'm only 4 years in though. Idk what the longtermers feel at my store), but the girls who started in November, they still don't know a lot of things. Making the same as them would make me feel a little slighted.

I just realized I probably won't get a raise, though lol. I was out for like 2 months because of fricking c diff. I brought in super comprehensive doctors notes, but I don't think that matters to Target. Ahh well.

I was a hell of a Perishables Assistant (unfortunately the better job you do at this the less the higher ups notice you). I realized I was going nowhere with this and knew, that I knew as much about Pfresh/Market as I ever would . Since then I left and asked to be a Signing Specialist when I knew it would become available. Honestly I am not sure that there is a job with a higher learning curve in the entire store. (At least what my roles in my store entail). I thought I was torn in different directions before, but I know once 7:45am roles around ALL of my plans for the day are pretty much out the window.
