Logistics CRC Chain of Custody thread

Why would they want busted packs of toilet paper back for CRC? I was ready to donate them 😞.

I wonder if anyone on here works at the CRC sortation center. I'm curious what that process is like.

Do you have the link to this card 👀
Do a search on greenfield. I'm not willing to doxx myself here

I've always just voided the LPN and ticked throw away to force it to destroy and set it with the donations. I know you're not supposed to really do that, but I've been doing that for years without any pushback 🤷‍♂️🙂

This defeats the purpose and is faking a metric. Definitely don’t do that. If it’s not scanable for you it’s not scannable to the return center.
I have a app (QR Code Reader) on my personal phone that I can create any barcode. If I can see the numbers, I can recreate the bar code.

Im a 30 hour receiver in a 90 million dollar store and we cant afford to train a backup for when I vacation. The work just piles up and I have to chip away on it when I get back.

I dont trust anyone else to help me on this Chain of custody, as Im finding everything mixed up in the boxes brought back. Im going to do my best, but I can not hold everyone's hand, and be certain they do their part.

Now, on Salvage, do I have to scan every piece onto a Salvage pallet ID form? I process 2-6' pallets daily, and scanning every piece seems impossible in 6 hours along with everything else.

We need to return to the process we had 6 years ago.....

Salvage items don't have to be scanned in to the pallet. But the Pallet ID has to be scanned onto the BOL. Sounds like an LOA is called for. Force them to find someone to train while you're on your 3-4 week LOA. Maybe find a better job while you're out.

That could backfire. My store let our receiver go several months ago and the position has not been filled back. It's literally just the ETL & TL piecing it together as they can while throwing a few trusted TMs in there to train on the fly when needed (these TMs have all declined taking the role long-term).

Dang I wish I could've declined 😆. I went from "backup/helper" to "its you". (Honestly I think it was a long con on me by my ETL). I don't think declining was an option.
They just need to find that person who always does what they're told and doesn't complain (and does a good job). And just tell them it's their job now. Most other positions can be filled easier

Why Does Reverse Logistics List Salvage and CRC?
