Nobody knows for sure yet...it still has to be approved by federal regulators. My ETL thinks it will be sometime in September, but I guess the most recent info that was sent out said they are going to start making offers "soon"???

Exactly....they don't have a "register," so to speak, they have computers.
You guys know mobile has to use both registers to complete a phone sale right? They have TM numbers. They can ring you up for literally anything (except maybe alcohol at the boat).

There is a Redwire post titled something about the CVS Transition. Anybody read it yet( I haven't had a chance).

Nope, but my lead pharmacist has already said she's gotten info about possible signing needs....

This is a horrific idea. It is going to backfire so badly. Target always does this. Find a way to change something that doesn't need to be changed and it goes horribly wrong. Everyone hates CVS. People would rather go to WalMart for the pharmacy than go to CVS. That's how bad CVS sucks.

This idea reminds me of

And Target pharmacy being bought by CVS is another sign that

Look at the how many companies own the media outlets in America. I believe 6 companies own the majority of media outlets in America. Globalists are real folks. Btw, I don't have the documents because I don't have a printer.

They needed money so they sold something.

They needed money for stock buybacks to enrich the largest shareholders in the company which is Brian Cornell, the other top level executives and the board of directors. Make no mistake this move was not intended to improve the long-term health of the business, it was a pure short-term money grab for the individuals running the company.

Our pharmacy has never been profitable. It started as a way to get more people into the store, and drive loyalty. Target has NOT been making money from this industry. If they could, they would scrap the entire pharmacy idea. But they can't do that because said pharmacy HAS done an excellent job at increasing traffic. They're bringing in CVS so that they can keep or potentially add to that traffic of customers, while still saving loads of money. That extra capital is to be reinvested in order to foster growth in big focus areas this year (ex. Organic food, craft beer, designer clothes) Extensive analysis was used to make this decision. Charts on charts on charts sonnnn!

@thedudeabides Instead of cramming your mind full of slapstick comedy lines and pop culture, read a book. Perhaps you'll understand the corporate world around you a little better.

Ok so I didn't realize Target had just expanded its stock buyback program. My bad. But they've always been repurchasing stocks. The only thing that stopped that was the data breach. So maybe they can afford to buy more because of the pharmacy deal. That doesn't change any of this:

Quite honestly, this is a win-win situation for Target. If it goes through, not only do they get the 1.887 billion, they get the $20-25 million annually in rent PLUS the sales pharmacy will continue to ring up (which will cost them $0 in labor). There's also a possibility of an increase in foot traffic by customers who will no longer have to go to a CVS stand alone store to fill their Rxs. And if it's NOT approved by federal regulators, they STILL get $150 million from CVS!!!

The thing is though, that most people with Caremark insurance HAVE to use a CVS pharmacy or their mail order service. If they use a different pharmacy, they are either charged a higher copay (and it's the highest if that pharmacy sells cigarettes), limited on the number of fills, or they have to "opt out" of the CVS pharmacy requirement if there isn't one within a certain distance from their home.

The Redwire message was just something about how to proceed with hiring (from TM to intern up to ETL).

It was too annoying to try and read on the tiny PDA screen so that's all I read from it.

But if anyone is looking to move to the pharmacy, it would be worth taking a look at the Redwire message from last week.

CVS has no business being in Target stores. Case closed.
I agree 100%. Trust me, we aren't pleased with the decision in pharmacy. As I've stated before, CVS has one of, if not THE worst reputation amongst pharmacy employees. They promote themselves as a company that "cares about your health," but all they really care about is their bottom line.....moreso than any other company. They put patient health/safety LAST & profits FIRST.

Gee, kinda sounds like another company I know of...
