I went to a target today that had a female AP and I was surprised because I just realized I have never seen a woman work in that position at a target store and was curious to how common it actually is. It seems to be as common as a guy working in softlines from my experience cause I have never seen one work in that area either. The only special thing about my store is our ETL HR is a guy which is pretty cool for a change I guess.

I actually find it more common for women to be more prevalent in upper levels of asset protection, as ETL-AP or APBP or higher. I don't see quite as many at store-level as APS or TPS, etc.

Regardless, it's useful having a female AP on the team, because then we don't have to borrow a female from the sales floor as a witness when we have an apprehension.

That is true I forgot about having a female witness thing.

We have a couple of female TPS' and a female APS at my store. It's not that uncommon. People think AP has to be big or strong to catch people when our job is actually more verbal than anything.

Plus nothing is better than having a female AP to watch someone closely in intimates. It sort of creeps people out when a guy does it.

We've had 2 female APS's at my store lately. Like On6 said, half your strength is mental. How you hold yourself and communicate dictates how most apprehensions go.
I've seen female AP verbally de-escalate situations with some pretty crazy people and get them back to the office without putting a finger on them. I've also seen some female AP that personally I wouldn't want to mess with. Never underestimate anyone.

It's not the size of the person in the fight but the size of the fight in the person. I love this quote :D

Isn't that sort of the point?o_O

The APBP was female (not sure if they app or anything lol if they're at a store)

My store's current APS is female, my store's last two former TPS's were also female. My store's old backroom TL, now ETL-AP, is female.
Also had a trainee ETL at my store, who was female, and went to ETL-AP.

We have had female aptl in the past. We currently have a female tps. She does a great job

There are very few female APTM's around my area aside from high level district manaagment.

My entire AP team, including myself (I'm a TPS), are female. We have 5 people total on our team, and we all get 40 hours a week.

The ETL AP is a girl and she is hot hot hot even with a 3 yr old

god why is my stores ap team cute

Lol my etl ap was a smoking hot 24 year old who looked like Jessica alba. Gender means nothing at target. My receiver is a woman. Current store has all male softlines team leads

Nice, we have a five person AP team as well including our etl. Another store in my district is a risk 9, that's the highest I have ever seen at Target.

Two etl aps
Edit one APTL (40)
Three aps (120 hours)
Six TPS (240 hours)

All male softlines team leads? Thats a first for me too. I know gender clearly doesnt mean much at Target but Im still fascinated by how unique the team is in certain stores lol.

2 new female TPS and a new female ETL-AP. I swear, I can't believe that little attractive woman is my boss.
