@Tessa120 I've submitted my own discipline notices at jobs before. I hold myself to the same standards I hold my employees. If it becomes a habit it's an issue, it's not going to be an issue if you do your job and it's not a habit.
I'd rather fight to keep someone I put on a CCA than have someone that can't work stick around because we needed a warm body and they passed their 90 days.

That's the thing though, you wouldn't have to fight and possibly even lose based on your CCA if you just weren't an overboard jerk about every absence, no matter how justified, needs to have the hammer come down. I mean, seriously, you're fine with someone coming in with a doctor's note because they think they might have a sinus infection and the available appointment is during work hours and they could wheedle a day of rest out of the doctor. But someone coming in without a doctor's note because their kid has a fever of 102 and was in the ER for a few hours, or because they were in a car accident and didn't have time to go to the doctor about being all banged up because they had to figure out how to replace the car in order to keep working, or is seriously sick but it's a choice between a doctor's copay and the kids having food to eat for the week is not nearly as excusable in your eyes?
