I love the 9200, if you hit CTRL and the red dot key, it turns the cross scanner where it's more sensitive to barcodes. Therefore, on ours the laser just has to be close, but not precisely on the barcode. I do this every time I get a 9200 PDA. Though with it being sensitive be careful, especially if your in cosmetics, you will be scanning every barcode, haha. Mainly what is does it picks up the first barcode it comes in close proximity to. Just see if that works better for you. You can also turn the sensitivity on/off in RF and Web separately since they are separate sessions. To turn off sensitivity hit CTRL and green dot key.

I've tried this today but I haven't noticed a difference between it being enabled or disabled. Neat trick though, I wonder what other little features the PDAs have that aren't widely known.
That's one of the main ones I know. Other than being able to get unstuck from a hip printer or main printer, that's really the only thing I know. On the 9090 I think you can hit CTRL and the O key and it will bring up files to click around in, nothing much I could do with it though. OH! If you get where WebApps get stuck or just stuck loading hit CTRL and I think number 5. It's refreshes it so it will load. Sometimes it works, sometimes I don't know. You will know if it was the correct sequence, you will hear a small chirp sound from the PDA. < this works on both 9090 & 9200.

Wait, how do you get it unstuck from a hip printer or main printer? This would be handy when I have revisions and have to use the main printer but then turn around and use a hip printer to work out any discontinued games (instead of deleting my revision batch and creating a generic label batch). Ctrl and 5 should be handy for the refresh since I've had item search hang up on me.

Totally log out of everything. Ctrl XOR just log out completely.

CTRL and X for 9200, blue function key and CTRL key twice, touch EXIT when box appears on 9090.

Disabling the cross scan mode on the 9200 made vastly sped up my endcap audits. I was scanning UPCs faster than the PDA could process them. I would scan three UPCs and watch them process through the PDA, 70 signs on the audit. I didn't have to line up the laser on the barcode like I would have to with the LPDA or standard PDA. I'm one of the few fans of the 9200 at my store now.

I'm glad it worked for you! I do that all the time. I know the PDA will catch up soon or later. I just like how fast they are in general. I can switch between 5 apps like lightning.

RF Apps is probably going bye bye. It has been sucking tremendously. I can scan something or press a button and it can take 2 or 3 minutes to load. And let's say you are back stocking something and you scan it and it's waiting, if you press enter again, it takes you back to STO. Just fix the system. Time is so vital to the backroom process. Hard to be fast when you have to deal with unreliable shitty equipment.
