I wanted to see with everyone mentioning cut hours, being stretched beyond an elastic band, etc. How much do you ACTUALLY get done in your given shift. I’ll start. I get the area I’m assigned to pushed 💯. Backstocked 💯.

I work from 5am til 10:30am with a 15 min break. I push toys 100% backstock toys 100% zone, do pulls, audits and reshop. If I have 5 uboats of toys I normally have 30 to 40 min left to help push another dept. If it's 6 or more then I only do toys freight.

With getting all this push done, is your backroom/like clean?
We constantly have a truck sitting on the line and vehicles..

@Planosss, my store 🏬 is brand/ clean for the most part. Our leadership is respectful and not ones sitting on high horses 🐎. They actually would pitch in and assist in areas that need attention at a given point in time. The reason why I posted this post was to gage to see how other Stores viewpoints are. You don’t have to be a team member to reply. You can be a leader and reply. This post is for everyone to comment.

Our backroom is clean as well. Our inbound team and tls always pitch in and make sure everyone comes clean.

Used to be we hardly ever rolled any truck. Now it's common, although I'm not sure it's always the same areas. We get only 3 per week, so there are opportunities to catch up. Back stock doesn't usually pile up too much, since whatever's left after pushing a vehicle generally gets back stocked then.
We're behind on setting POGs too, which is also unusual. We used to be pretty much always ahead, starting to work them as soon as they dropped in and label strips arrived.
We're shorter-staffed than usual, not sure where we are for seasonal hiring but I didn't see anything on the board where orientations are listed.

Only 3 trucks a week? That would be heavenly 😫 We get a minimum of 5 in off season and holiday will be 7 minimum sometimes we hv gotten 9 a week during the Christmas season.

My store isn't high-volume. Used to be low-volume, but that might have gone up a notch with SFS.

Although our trucks are consistently a lot bigger than when I started 10+ years ago; still only 3, sometimes 4 per week. Holiday season work load has varied a lot over the years; don't know what it'll be like this year.

Be careful what you wish for though. When you get 3 trucks are week your entire food and gm push team is the Inbound team.

Stray & zoning in Beauty!

Also covering Ulta Breaks.

Areas I zone: Haircare, Skincare, Body Lotion, Bath Products (Body Scrubs, Bubble Bath, ect.), Small Brands, Mini’s, & Cosmetics.

Sometimes I am not able to get to Cosmetics but I try at least make sure the Endcaps look okay and that there is no Stray on the base decks.

I do pay attention to side caps that are empty and I try to fill them.

But mainly I zone.

I wish I could get more done, and maybe I will be able to get more done since I have found a solution to the fatigue I was having. Basically I got a CPAP, I have Sleep Apnea apparently and I felt like I was dying some days. Now I feel normal. It’s a miracle!

So hopefully as I recover from not getting restful sleep I will start to be more productive at work.

So wish that someone would be able to zone Beauty at my store. Our main Beauty TM is so slow in pushing her truck and neatness is not her thing. She's very nice, very knowledgeable about her product area, helpful to guests so she's not all bad!

Good for you for getting your diagnosis and improved sleep now. It's so foundational.

Thank you so much!

And yeah, they don’t have me doing much pull & push.

I mainly zone and do stray.

I was having issues getting through Haircare & Skincare during the worst of it (there are over 6 aisles in those 2 sections).

I do pull 2-3 of everything to the front tho and I make it look as nice as possible.

I also have ADHD & Autism so I also have to make sure I don’t get distracted as well. But I do feel it’s important to make sure displays and side caps are full because they catch the Guest’s eye.

My Store is very large tho so IDK how realistic the Leaders are when they say you should be able to get through everything (I don’t want to say too much about my store tho because Corporate is always watching).
