Archived Is this common for Target?

Ever since I began at Target, TM's in my position have called out numerous times.

Sometimes they don't even give notice, they just simply don't show up.

It's usually the same people, too. Some who have been there for a while, some brand new.

My problem with this: I either end up working by myself, or I have to stay late. Sometimes both.

Being asked to stay late and/or asked to come in on my day off has become painfully common.

This time of year it's not uncommon for them to use call outs as a way of keeping the hours down.
Rather than trying to find someone to cover the shift they just stretch out the people they have.

Plus the job market has gotten better so I suspect that people are bailing out.
