I hope this is something that only a few stores are doing to give corporate feedback as to how long it takes to set a POG. I've been setting for several years and this would only slow me down.
Nothing really changes on how I set. I’ve also set for years. This is just helpful for new people introduced to setting.

So if de-merch is the first step and its a transition with a lot of moves, we are to scan the entire aisle first putting the 3/4 of the aisle that moves on u-boats and leave it on u-boats until all pegs, shelves, ISM, displays have been moved and everything cleaned?

it DOES have use, its just being pilotted atm.
From what i've heard its heavily lacking in features that were previously there
I work drive up all the time and I don’t like the new app. Once an order is processed you can no longer look it up. Once bags are transferred to a cart you can longer see where they were located. There is a lot I don’t like about it.

Are you asking how to print the paper planogram or how to look at the peg locations on the device screen?
Device, we've always printed the POG to get peg locations. I'll check out RunForACallBox's comment next time I'm in. I haven't set a POG in forever, since remodel, but this will help us double check sets that we're having issues pushing because of spacing.

In the future we will have VR glasses with the POG layout projected for you onto the empty gondolas, then you could just match up what you see. The pegs and shelves will be so easy to set correctly, without counting or measuring, all dividers set exactly in the right spot, before you even get product on it.
(I'm just dreaming this into reality, somebody get started developing this)

Not sure if the paper POGs were wrong or if the TMs using them read them wrong. Last time Personal Care went through a transition, both Men's and Women's Shave pegs were set wrong. For instance, the Good Fellow razor refills were put at the far right of the section while the razors were put at the far left (or near to that side). The picture on the zebra clearly had the refills right above the razors, in keeping with the rest of the razors and refills. (I didn't print out the paper POG myself to see what it said, so maybe my assumption that the paper matched the picture is wrong.) Plus, because we have to put the refills in security boxes, not as many pegs will fit. Instead of adjusting appropriately - with product already in security boxes, no need to guess - the TM just crammed it all in.
Same for Women's Shave, set by a different TM. They both have experience setting POGs, even reverse ones like these with lots of pegs.
This is one of my biggest beefs about the demise of the DBO model. Neither of those TMs has an investment in making sure the sets are done correctly - they don't push the product and don't really care if it makes sense or even physically fits.
So I fix things to make it actually work, at least until the next transition. Those two will be on my list to do myself, but that means I won't be able to do others. It's just so frustrating sometimes, when I could fix it as I go along instead of sometimes weeks later because who has time for this when trucks keep coming and push has to get done. Ug.
P.S. - What would I do without this site where I can rant about stuff like this with people who actually get it?

The printed paper POGs are the exact same thing you see on myDay, so it's safe to assume the TMs just messed up. Maybe they realized they accidentally set them standard instead of reverse and decided not to go back and fix it.

On the POG page, click on Non-Retail and there will be a small icon of the schematic that if you click on will expand to a larger image. This will show you the placement of any shelves and pegs.

FWIW, our team ditched the pegs and put up shelves for the merchpro'd razor blades. Haven't heard any complaints from our team pushing the area.

I always call dibs on the men's shavers because I know it's going to take some condensing of the facings to fit properly and our other best setter does the female shave.
