No Hours?

So what happens if your only cashier AND SCO people both call off, or you can't run DU or OPUs without calling someone?
I only work dayside, so not sure about night, but we don't usually get a cashier until after 9, sometimes 10 and nobody at guest service until 8:30. Our CO person or a lead/ETL will cover the area until the next person comes in. In all honesty, our openers for front end and OPU (fulfillment) are very reliable and always there. DU is sketchy, but is covered by the SCO person who also does OPU at guest service until 8:30. Most of our tm's are cross trained and could step in, except for prepping drive up in which case a fulfillment tm can do it while another tm picks orders. Starbucks is probably the only place where they may call someone in, but more often than not it is the TL or ETL that are barista trained. It's not a perfect world, everyone hates to give up anyone from their work center, and work throughout the store isn't completed; but that's what corporate is calling for with these cuts. I've heard a lot of rumbling lately, though, about long time really amazing tm's looking for different jobs due to the hours cuts and having to use up vacation hours to supplement their paychecks... not another job, a different job. Most of us can't take a $500-$1000+/month pay cut. (That is one 8 hour shift/week and includes accruing vacation time and 401k match pay.) That is really sad.

If you have room for hours, you shouldn't get in any trouble.
The only trouble could be for an area in which you are not trained but I believe MyDay will post shifts available based on your work profile.
Talk to HR to make sure that they are keying in all of the areas for which you are trained. I wasn't getting any available shifts posted, but none of the areas other than my primary work center were keyed in. Now I get all of the notifications for which I am trained.
