This occurred to me a couple days ago:

If your store charges for bags, then how does Self Checkout work?

The bags won't open until they're paid for. Special SCO bags - don't mix them with the regular bags.

The system asks if you used your own bags or Spot’s and how many, then it gives you a credit or a charge on your total.

With the amount of scammers that Spot gets, there are probably quite a few that would lie to save a nickel or get one...🙄😂

I can vouch for this. In my 3 years of working in AP I have never once saw a guest do anything even remotely shady or stupid.

My coworker says maybe like for cleaning?
