I’m taking a schedule exemption for a 7-week course and asked if I could work across different keys to make up some hours during that time. I was told no… but I haven’t seen anything in writing that says I can’t. Just trying to figure out if the “no” is because they simply don’t want to allow it, which is fine, or if they don’t actually know what they’re talking about.

It depends on what the schedule you wrote up was. But typically its going to stay days if you're days or nights if you're nights. They're not going to let it do an A1/A2 or B1/B2 mid shift. But if you work A1 and need Monday's off for school they would (should) let you do a Saturday (A1) Sunday (A1) Thursday (B1) schedule.

But they're not going to let you do a 11-11 Thursday through Saturday. Its too complicated to track.

Make sense?

I figured working a mid might be a stretch, but I’m not sure why they won’t let me come in on the other night shift to get hours. They’re telling me I have to pick one shift. I will get to the bottom of this.
