MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

My store had the indie mascara change to a transcend endcap early in 2015, we just don't have another endcap to use the stuff on.
Also, did anyone whose team set naturals see that it's adding another four foot section? And did they send you the backpanels for that? I'm missing a ton of signing, including naturals but backpanels don't seem like something they'd miss.
Naturals is Thursday. My stuff keeps trickling in. They set maybelline today with no signing which will prob come tomorrow. Add that to my list. Backing up to Australia now.... uhm......... Yeah, actually it does seem like something they'd miss lol!! I know we have some panels hanging about in our fixture room. Mayb u do too. I'll let u know if that applies to us too.
And just as an FYI to everyone, the curved signing on the tops of the gondolas, they all need to come down and trashed. Just in case u didn't know.

Adding: also, all the cosmetic headers need to be replaced plus, the sub headers. I'm not sure if I have all of them. Has anyone set the skincare aisle?....how did it go? It's suppose to have a total transformation. I have a pallet of fixtures for just that aisle. Oh, and another thing. There is the cosmetic half strip for signing. Am I putting it up wrong or do u feel it doesn't attach securely. The bottom of the strip stays sturdy but the top of it kinda leans forward. Has anyone else encountered this?

The fixtures go up easy enough, just the top shelves for the first four sections. I didn't actually get any of the signing or displays for the aisle.. but at least the fixtures are in place for them. Make sure your pog team knows that the backerpaper and shelfliner for those sections are all black, while sections 5 and 6 remain white.

My pog TL doesn't seem to want me very involved despite the various instructions suggestions to. He wants me to clean up other projects. I've aided where I can. I've got a feeling that I'm going to play clean up. They have the skin care set for late this week. And much of skincare is actually slated to come in late.
Can't wait to see this half strip thing...
Yeah I have 2 pallets for that aisle. Fun times. Fun times 😀

My Plano team is like 1.5 weeks ahead, so we are receiving stuff late/at the last minute which is turning into a nightmare, anyone know a good way to handle this?
I hate working ahead with a passion, because inevitably when the thing does come in late or even on time, I'll get slammed with some other project that blasts all my hours away, and then get put under the magnifying glass for doing something actually on time but seems late because they worked ahead so far.

If they constantly work ahead too far, you may develop the impression as someone who never has the signing they're looking for, even though you can't control what you never receive. I've gotten in trouble several times for failing to catch up in time with completed sets, even though what I was behind on were stuff than we never received and had to be ordered (which takes at least a week for us to receive).

Especially problematic is when they work ahead too far and the POG calls for backer paper we don't have yet, because it's so time-consuming to set backer paper on aisles that already are loaded with product, and makes it look like you're even further behind to do what should have been done on time.

I skimmed backwards but didn't see it -- did anyone notice that the Star Wars BB-8 droid from the Toys focal is now to be raffled off to all active team members as of Feb 28? It was in the merchandise update last week or so. No CRC, no crushing.. so some lucky punks from Targets all over the US are going to get a giant BB-8, but are going to wet their britches when they find out that it requires like 12 D-cell batteries to run =P

It was mentioned somewhere...I'm going to jump somebody if I don't get it.

Thanks for the reminder we do this today.

This story makes me a sad kitty.

Is there a part number for the slanted part that goes on the utility cosmetics tray. Where the ism sign goes? Can those be ordered separately rather then ordering the whole tray?

Think they are called graphic ism holder or somthing, they can be ordered.

As a matter of fact it's the cosmetic bullnose!! And I wrote it down today!! I'll look at it tomorrow. & post.

Some pics from the C9 reinvention. Sleepwear is now a narrow valley between hoisery and C9. C9 is the entire length of the outside racetrack edge.

@fx0007: how long did it take to set the skincare aisle?
The signing shouldn't take more than 2 hours if the shelves are in place already.
There are these 16 slightly different plates though that each are supposed to hold up a different display, 4 of which go in each 4' section, and the instructions say to put them in in the order shown on the pog... The pog doesn't show any sort of order, many of the part numbers listed on the pog for the plates don't even match the plate part numbers that I received, so I'm just going to have to wait until I actually get the displays and just scan those for the order instead.

So today we set the aisle, minus the top fancy shelf and all the signs (we didn't get them).

Can I at lest try to install part of the fancy shelf tommrow?

@Inigma you want THE WHOLE PART that will (forcibly) come out, correct? (I can get that tom.)
@oath2order i didn't see that part #listed. But I have been known to misread before 😳
😀

Ugh, horrified for this. We've barely started due to the c9 reinvention. So far behind... and the parts that should be done aren't.
