Systems outage Fri 12/19/25

In some ways, this was a relief. My entire store has been so, so far behind on freight and with SFS shut off for the day, there was nothing for inbound, salesfloor and fulfillment to do except push, and in one morning/early afternoon the store was transformed into gallery of shit people had been INFing for the past several weeks. As for POG team, we were finally able to excavate the massive catacomb of shippers and sidecaps that have languished in the steel since early November, having failed to magically set themselves or miraculously disappear in our near-constant absence from our actual workcenter.

Once we blitzed through all the OPUs this morning it was a pretty smooth day. All liabilities are out of the back, toys are being purged, and we actually have vehicles for the unload tomorrow.

Gen merch trucks may be canceled for Sunday or Monday at some stores bc the DCs had a whole day shutdown too. I'm off til Monday. Anyone missing trucks yet?

At my store 🏬, we were able to get semi “caught up” with the growing freight that had seemingly/ unexpectedly overwhelmed our Store 🏬. I must say that I was impressed with the resilience and adaptability of everyone. (STL to the Tm’s) As we really moved all in unison to get the Store 🏬 back together again.

Granted we cancelled one truck 🛻 though. Today’s/tonight’s team will probably get the brunt of it. Still doing the best we can with the resources available to us.

Trucks for the whole district were cancelled for Saturday to allow time to catch up on back stock and OPU. We're behind on trucks because of various problems, but probably the DC needed an opportunity to catch up too. Everything seemed pretty normal on the zebra Saturday, for sure today.

Editing to say that I was still surprised that the store was still such a mess and not everything had been pushed from Friday's truck as of the start of my shift this morning.

So apparently the reason RTS went through the roof is because the system made us still pick orders that the guest had already canceled which is why so many items immediately dropped into RTS.
