Honestly, only salefloor (including A&A and operator) Guest services and TLs up need mydevices. ANY other role doesn't need one.
Plano? Pricing?

And SFS, and BR when they're covering OPU...Flow doesn't need Mydevices. Flow is supposed to read pic labels and understand shelf labels and know how to put up items correctly. PDAs can be used to backstock. Eventually, our Flow won't stock at all. They will just offlaod and salesfloor will push. Now every person on the sales floor needs a mydevice.

E2E flow needs myDevices. Regular flow only needs them for the TMs working repacks.Flow doesn't need Mydevices. Flow is supposed to read pic labels and understand shelf labels and know how to put up items correctly. PDAs can be used to backstock.
Then why do we have 40 myDevices?Honestly, only salefloor (including A&A and operator) Guest services and TLs up need mydevices. ANY other role doesn't need one.
The thing at our store is we have one for gstl, luckily as hours are cutting we can either just take a spare one that isn’t being used like flow after they leave or pog but we tried getting one designated to guest services but nothing happened.. we usually now use one of our mycheckout devices as apparently we are meant to have one up at guest services so that’s goodGSA needs one separate from Guest Services.
I’m at an A+ Store, Market is our #1 department in sales, and we have usually 6-7 people in the morning and afternoon like your store.
I know it sounds like a lot of myDevices, but in reality like @SFSFun said, it’s necessary if we want to help guests when they need it. And they always need it.
Good question. The better question why don't we, if you truly don't need them.E2E flow needs myDevices. Regular flow only needs them for the TMs working repacks.

Ok I did forget plano and pricing (which will only need them when the pdas die) and SFS (which is on a clock so... Thats a different discussion)/Plano? Pricing?
Backroom falls under salesfloor if you E2e. If you aren't yet, you will be.And SFS, and BR when they're covering OPU...
We always have the my checkout zebra if there aren’t any regular zebra’s available for the front end, but PDA’a are a different story. We have been told that we MUST use the PDA to scan the location for an in store pickup (even though myGO tells you where the item(s) are) but early in the morning until about noon as everyone else has said, you can’t secure a PDA, so we regularly have to walkie for someone to bring a PDA to guest service so we can get the guest on their way. When can we expect for the Zebra to do everything a PDA does? It seems silly that they haven’t figured out how to consolidate the different equipment yet.
you are amazing and that person is amazing.Login Barcode Creator - http://mwganson.freeyellow.com/lbc/
Go to that site on your phone. Enter your username and password. Next to your username, select "tab". Select the box to include enter/tab after your password. Next to "reset", select QR code. Create login barcode. Zoom in, take a picture of your QR code, then save it somewhere on your phone.
Go to myWork and scan your barcode. Bam, you're logged in without having to type anything. Credit to some guy on r/target for coming up with the idea, although he had separate barcodes for his username and password.
I’ve been doing this since we got the Zebras. It’s great & so fast!Login Barcode Creator - http://mwganson.freeyellow.com/lbc/

Edit: The guy on reddit printed it out and glued it to the back of his name tag. It seems less secure that way but it would certainly be faster than getting your phone out.

Yes we do use the my device for myGO, but they insist we also use the pda to scan the location where the item is.
I haven't done it, but yes I've seen people scan a QR code and then tell everyone what it said (password, website, whatever). It's not something you would want out in the open, which is why I'll probably just keep mine on my phone instead of on my name tag. I keep my name tag on my aprons and leave them at work, so it would be available to anyone, even if the QR code is on the back of it.There has to be a way to reverse engineer QR codes, right?
I bet this is going to end up with corporate telling us not to do it due to the security implications.I ran up to the STL and said "Do you have a myDevice? Let me show you how big of a workaholic nerd I am." And then he asked me to send him a detailed email with how to do it and said he might send it to the district and I got all excited and proud lol.
You can scan it with myWork and it will come up (minus any special characters). Might show the whole thing on another Zebra app (RFID, browser, Target), but I haven't tried yet.I haven't done it, but yes I've seen people scan a QR code and then tell everyone what it said (password, website, whatever). This is what the zebra does when it scans. QR codes are not encrypted in any way. There has to be a way to reverse engineer QR codes, right?
