Yep screen smashed broken. Dropped. The holsters are the worst. They only work one way? Cheap crap. Meaning the device must be put in the holster one way. Which happens to be against my natural grip. And who puts a scanner a scanner up? Stupid.
Use an LPDA holster. For some reason my store has a lot more of those than actual LPDAs. It also means you won't pull the holster out of your belt when you're trying to grab your iPod.

I've kidnapped one. Got all my accessories in the net and walkie clipped on. Though I've switch back to a LPDA or both. But a LPDA holster + myDevice = easy access and alert sounds when placed speaker up.

Well duh! 😛 🙂 I have three stashed including two in the trunk of my car. I figured that out about 15min after getting a mydevice the first time.
 
So the Winter PDA software release is coming in about two weeks to stores. It's taking away the Stand Alone RSCH app and Instocks app. So everything RSCH related WILL have to be done on the myDevice.... Also the REDwire said that starting Jan. 31 if you send in any MC9090 or MC70 PDA/LPDA to be repaired/replaced you not getting any in return. So take care of your crap equipment people! Haha.
 
That's odd...My STL was begging for PDAs for instocks yesterday because she said it wasn't working properly on the iPods.

Has your store recieved the new myWork update yet on the iPods? If not the new update is supposed to enhance existing features and fix bugs within the Instocks function. I hope the 'Instocks team' knows how to use the myDevices.

OUTs is already on the myDevices. It just doesn't capture it unless a batch is generated from it. Last time I heard they were working to fix how it captures when someone is doing OUTs on them.
 
So....if Stand Alone RSCH is being taken out, how does doing the Drastic Count work?
Go into the Instocks mode and type/scan the DPCI and correct the counts. When you don't follow the guide on the bottom screen you are in 'technically speaking' in Stand Alone. When you follow the guide on the bottom, you are in the 'Instocks' part of the mode? If I confused you more im sorry, haha.
 
Our store still doesn't have the new my device update for stow, qmos and subt does anyone know when it's going to be released? Or does an ETL or STL need to do something? When you go on training it shows you how to do it but we still don't have the options

I don't think most stores update until next week, so you should be ok that you don't have it now. If you have a know-how ETL-GE or a knowledgable Digital Advisor, then you can ask them if they know a specific day for your store.
 
One of the bigger annoyances I have with the device is how long you have to hold the power button down to turn the damn thing on. I wouldn't mind having to reboot the thing if I didn't have to hold the button down for 30 seconds.

But how often do you have to reboot? If it stops scanning pull the iPod a little out of the sled, then plug it back into the sled and wait about ten seconds. Works almost every time. Only time you should need to hold the button down is if you're the first one to use it that day.

I have to reboot about 15 times a day. lol its sad really. It works like crap for price change and we always get error messages like "print error" and "the creator is at fault" or something weird like that. and it wont let you print anything until you reboot. i havent heard any suggestions from anyone on how to fix these problems so for now my only option is to reboot

I'd rather spend the extra time rebooting it than deal with the extra risk of moving things around inside. Though at least sometimes if I close the MyWork app and open it again, the scanner starts cooperating.

Any word on when the STO mode is going to tell you the fill group when there's nothing in the backroom? Was helping the backroom for a bit today and its annoying having to ask somebody with a PDA "where does this go?" every other minute to make sure I'm not screwing up.

I believe it says the fill group when you switch to the details screen. I could be wrong, but I remember the myDevice saying it somewhere.
 
Details screen is where you STO/SUBT right? Wasn't seeing fill groups on my iPod unless the item already had a backroom location. Otherwise no group info that I saw. Unless its in a different location on the screen and I didn't notice, in which case, whyyyyy. Then again my iPod could've been missing an update, I wouldn't be surprised.

SUBT in these is amazing though, too bad I never have a reason to use it.
 
I've used SUBT on the MyDevices a few times. I wish it worked like CAFs on the PDA's where it forces you to scan the location and then the item, just so I don't have to check every box manually. I have this fear of grabbing the wrong item for a guest.
 
My store is finally getting the update in a few days, hopefully all goes well. For stores with the update, has the scanner issue been fixed?

I don't usually get a myDevice anymore, but I will get back with you tomorrow when I go in I'll grab one and see. I know I remember seeing it, just don't remember on which screen.
 
I also have been wondering about the scanner. I have been meaning to ask, but never got around to it.
 
I did another update on ours yesterday. Software version is up to .22.38. (noted at the bottom of the screen where you sign out on) The "take" option was a couple weeks ago already. And the scanner issue is still there.
