I got you! Also ask away in here for all the help you need...leadership should know its "A" players and put those in BR to support you...if you're going to be the team trainer go on work bench and look up core roles, ask for a learning plan and see if you know what the learning plan says you should for BR. Also it will have training codes you can use to help you. Stay strong !

I thought they had the same DPCI as long as they're the same size. I always double-check when pulling or backstocking them because I worry that I'll create an error with the damn things.

I think some of them do have the same dpci but there's 2 of them that look nearly the same but actually have different dpcis so I've been backstocking one at a time. I did it for an 1/2 hour - 45 min and it barely looks like I touched them.

OMG. We're always out of them. I can't believe you have that much back stock.

Back stocking these aren't fun. They have different dpcis and there's hundreds of these.

Those things are the bane of our whole backroom team's existence. God help you if you came across a waco full of those while doing the audit.

They went d-code after Christmas so we pulled them all and had a salesfloor TL push them all. Now some of them are active and some are still d-code but there is no way in hell anyone is going to backstock them.

We have around 20 of the big ones and 2 repacks full of those tiny ones just floating around the backroom on a flat. They get repushed occasionally but they just don't sell.

The thought that Back to School is approaching scares the living daylights out of me. Our backroom team is 100% not prepared, and I highly doubt that that will change enough to make a difference between now and then. Our most experienced TMs have left and we're down to our new hires, myself, and one other person who's been in the backroom about as long as I have. We will not be able to cope with BTS well at all.

Even right now our backroom is a catastrophe the majority of the time, and I can't imagine how it'll be when we actually have to deal with the sheer amount of BTS freight.

@Firefox I feel your pain. That's been our backroom the past two years. Somehow we are holding it together right now but there will be a point when the billion different OFCE items becomes too much to handle.

Have you had inventory yet? It will force your store leadership to support the backroom in coming clean and then all you guys need to do it maintain it.

I just can't fathom who buys them. $5 seems like a lot of money for something so...crappy. My jaw hit the floor when I actually looked at the price tag one day.

When I was a kid Beanie Babies were $5 each, but they were big (in comparison) and floppy and had personality. These, on the other hand, are just tiny little soft rocks or something.

I feel like you would need a bunch of them for them to be entertaining in the slightest, but $5 each just doesn't seem worth it!

No inventory yet. I think we have inventory in a month to a month and a half from now, I'm not certain of the exact date. That's gonna be a nightmare in and of itself...

This is why I'm glad early morning does the audit. Pulling and STOing them is enough of a pain in the ass.

I actually learned backroom during BTS/BTC last year, then went right into Q4 without much of a lull in between, so I should be able to handle this. But between shitty payroll (well, shittier than normal) and moving to a 4AM process, the idea of BTS/BTC scares the hell out of me.

We have inventory when BTS is on clearance. The Spot Gods must be crazy.

Our overnight process is an absolutely shitfest, constant callouts and underperforming TMs, can't even imagine how much worse it would be at a 4am or god forbid a 6am start.

These days I can't see our flow team being able to function at 4am. Most of them have a hard enough time dragging themselves out of bed for 6am.

Even though our old ETL-LOG is gone, I heard our STL still plans on moving us to 4am for the peak BTS weeks. It'll be an interesting time.

So I guess my ETL doesn't know how to write a schedule, because I only just realized this but I'm working 7 straight days, and 3 of those days are clopens. Closed last night, open this morning. Close tomorrow night, open the following morning. Rinse and repeat. Please kill me.

I've been at a store that had a remodel done and to consign what coolcatmom said someone from the remodel team Should be designated to backstock there work as to uphold the intergrity of the b/r. I strongly suggest you speak to those leaders and get answers. That way you can return some positive team morale to all parties involved. No one, tm's, TL's and etl's all dislike coming to work and Dread being there.

Fuck that. I did that one week. I didn't know my name by the end of it. I almost had the hubby drive me home the last day.

And I've worked 37hr shifts and 47 days straight with no problem.

Oh Target how I Love Thee...let me count the ways! Inventory and BTS set the same week???? What's love got to do with it. Patron shots here I come! Oh Patron how I Love Thee...let me count the ways! Shot...shot...shot...shot shot shot!

I can now safely say that our backroom team is one of the worst since I started at Target 2 yrs ago. The new hires are unreliable and lazy and I can only think of 2 coworkers that are hard workers. It drives me nuts when I see the new hires sit there and fiddle with their PDA's 'checking' for open batches when all they're doing is trying to find the batch that requires them to do the least amount of work.

OK got a question...I have a backroom team member assigned to do item merges every Tuesday at 9 am. Now I'm being g told we should do them Fri or Sat according to best practice. That they drop all week and if missed they keep dropping...Is there a "best practice" way to do them?

I have never seen them drop in after the initial drop on Tuesday. We try to get ours done by Wednesday because things get busier and busier the closer we get to the weekend, and item merge is something that will easily fall through the cracks.

I'm pretty sure best practise says Tuesday. Else it's gonna create errors. Only a couple but still.

Does anyone else have the Anna and Elsa dresses in their backroom still. Ours have been hanging up not located for at least a year. They aren't located so I'm considering pulling all of them down and sticking them on a pull. I'm not even sure if they are still on the planogram, but we have at least 20 of them.
