For context, I’ve called off 3 times in the past 3 months, and I planned on going to the shift to avoid calling off more.

However, I am currently 2.5 hours away from the target I work at, and the weather conditions here are not looking good. High winds, ice, and likely snow is the forecast and I’m worried I won’t be able to go to work because of the conditions.

I’ve worked with my boss to try and get the shift covered (it’s posted on mytime), and we were able to push it back into the evening. I’m also very well like by my fellow coworkers and my boss.

Even with all this I’m just wondering if it’s a bad idea or not, or if it’ll get me in enough trouble to be fired, terminated, or put on CA.

If you just started with Spot and you’re seasonal, kiss your job goodbye come January. I’m just being completely honest. Black Friday is the equivalent to “The Super Bowl” for Target 🎯 stores. 🏬 You were essentially hired for this particular day essentially. All the “Being mad cool with my boss” and coworkers is essentially 💩 if you’re not there. Good luck. I hope 🤞🏾 things work out in your favor. I’ve just seen people get terminated for far less….

Repercussions will highly depend on your value to the store. If you're new, you're probably toast. If you're a longtime TM the store heavily depends on you'll probably be fine (coaching or other corrective action).

Safety first. Call out. Just letting you know what to expect when you return.
