The three filters for cafe I always did FL. Not really sure how I reached that conclusion but thats what I did. Didn't have Starbucks though its rumored to take over Cafe soon.

Lucky. Having a cafe/Pizza Hut and a Starbys is awful. Starbucks has constant gnat/pest issues while cafe gets all of the mechanical/electrical problems. Both have plumbing problems and both have separate steritec and health inspections. Starbucks has its own DM that loves putting locations on noncompliance for things steritec praises.

Oh there’s also a Pizza Hut DM overseeing cafe but all he does is complain and threaten to pull our contract. He usually gets asked to leave and asked to set an appointment because we are “busy”. I can’t wait until it’s just Starbucks.

Such as the Icee machine spraying freeon all over the place? Good times.

Better than when a Pfresh line blows and displaces breathable air in a general area lol

All filters can go in the compactor and are not ESIM items.

How do you figure? The MRS600 filters are 6 large aluminum cans. I brainstormed with an old timer and it came down to;

1) they may contain lead so they could be ESIM
2) they aren’t metal enough for metal recycling
3) All 6 are a little much to toss in a compactor if it’s over 65% full

“If you lube it up, it’s gon be so much better”
That can be taken so many ways.
my opinion is he should be the one doing the shop vac not the grocery team that is overwhelmed as he pointed out.

Avoid Guest distraction? What, Guest distract TMs and PMTs. You don't say.
What about hardlines not grocery or starbucks?
Guest friction points need to be greased too. They LOVE that. ;)

Our PMT has a new Target sign on his office door warning about use of power tools by regular TMs, along with pics of each tool. It's a safety issue, property management use only, it says.

I'm glad I noticed the sign before I fucked myself up with that DeWalt work light lol

If any PMT really walks that in-depth everyday then you would never get anything done... but you’d have a bunch of late work orders lol.

Glad to see them discuss brand in that newly remodeled store. Try that in any 5-10 year old prototype where the daily grind is keeping everything functional and hoping nothing catches fire.

As exciting as it was to see a revamp and extra attention toward Property Managment, it’s starting to look like they’re losing focus. Instead of having an end goal and some sort of time line of changes it’s just “here are tools!” “New training every month!” “Be sure to stay glued to your iPad everyday!” “New routines to add to your responsibilities!”

Who an I kidding. Guess that’s what happens when retail workers try to manage construction work.

What kind of things will you be looking for when you walk the front of the store?

It’s the same type of walk PMTs should already be doing. When I do the front for example I start from the ceiling and work my way to the floor.

Ceiling tiles damaged or dirty? AP has a tendency to break them and signing specialist always scratches them. Do the sales floor lights come on? Air vents dirty? Is there any high dusting to do?

Then checklanes functionality and asthetics. Scratches, stickers, graffiti, broken drawers or panels? Do the lights work? Gondola damage on checklanes? One spot gondola damage?

Then the floor. Broken tiles? deep scratches from things being dragged around?

It’s basically proactive repair instead of reacting to a call to handle it. Just “modernization” is a new level of micromanagement.

I fixed a deck plate that has been getting kicked around for years, despite the PMTs best efforts to glue it.

My special trick.

Unless I'm mistaken, there is not a signing specialist at your store. You may have a designated signing tm and Target might still send packages labeled "Signing Specialists," but that title was removed years ago. Correct?

I don’t know, I’m not HR lol. He does signs and he’s special. It’s just a title

I get it. But Target made a huge deal out of taking that title away from us years ago. Brought me in the office. Wasted an hour of payroll telling me I'm not a specialist anymore and yada yada yada. But I'm still expected to do the same work and getting bumped done a paygrade.

It would be like you not being the PMT anymore and just called the repair tm. But always getting packages labeled PMT and although not losing your pay, having your future raises cut because you've been downgraded.

Sorry to be antagonistic about it. But it does matter. Otherwise, I'd be the ETL of signing. Lol

Doesn't surprise me that someone would waste resources to make this tag. But I give them credit though, they actually wrote on the tag compared to most of the ones I got where it was blank.

The only time I actually filled those out was when I had a smart-ass comment to make. Glad to see I’m not the only one.
