When did Target change the job title "Guest Advocate" into two new titles, "Checkout Advocate" and "Service Advocate"?
What is the difference?
Is "Service Advocate" equivalent to the old GSA position? Is there a pay range difference?
Hello. So I am a guest advocate cashier and new working at Target and I've had a couple of experiences where I'll go on self checkout, usually to cover someone's break or lunch, and I'll be helping a guest with a request that would require me to step away for more than a minute. All of the...
As y'all know nepotism is a real thing at Target. Here's our situation:
I work up front and I'm one of a few cashiers who have been taught how to "open" and "close" the front (real simple stuff) but we're a group that's also expected to play the role of Team Lead whether or not our actual team...
In all of my years on this planet I have NEVER encountered such a basket of bull as this new POS system. I would be so ashamed to be a part of the purchasing management team that implemented this so called "system" and I'd have laughed my way to tge bank if I were the company that sold them the...
How the heck do you hang these or use these?? We're managing at the checklanes but we just sort of... lay them out at SCO. Is ther a magnet peg I could use or something? Ugh.
All the registers decided to do weird things at once tonight. Many wouldn't print a receipt and got stuck on the "thank you" screen.
When I say many i mean like 5, at once! And it happened multiple times during the day.
3 or 4 more refused to sign in... it would just re prompt you over and...
Does anybody know a way to return an item if the guest used a merchandise card to pay with it and they don’t have the receipt but do have the merchandise card? I know you can lookup a gift cards receipt but is there a way to do that with a merchandise card?
For example, 0291-2753-0084-3634-4. This last number seems to be very random to me and I don't think it has anything to do with the date, the time, or transaction. This number can be from 0-9
So, like a bunch of stores, we got a software update.
It has it's issues but we were told you can still sell after closing the register. Has anyone tried this? Does anyone close all registers at the end of the night then sell things at the end.
Hello, I was just wondering if you guys could say some tips and tricks you guys at other stores do that help with problems at the service desk. There are lots of problems everyday at the SD. Anything helps such as using MPM to see if a item was inf in a drive up order when the guest think they...
My store just got the new pos system and I'm the primary closer for the front. What changed with closing registers and how do I get the checklist to print? I read that they stay open even after being banked with new funds?
Has the change shortage hit your store yet? It hasn't hit mine, but it has hit a nearby target and it has hit my daughter's place of employment. How are the guests handling the change shortage?
I thought there was a thread on this, but I couldn't find it.
I frequently order my OPU’s from another local Target (one I don’t work at) because I frequently get the rolled eye look when picking up from the store I work at. Anyone else do this?
I closed a register tonight but no one had ever taught me how to do it. I removed all the cash and put it in a bag but I didn’t put any starting money in it. Did I make a mistake?
Are SDs and ETLs given an incentive for not spending money to fix malfunctioning card readers, registers, thermal receipt printers, self-checkout machines and even security-wrap opening tools? I've gotten tired of asking our TLs and ETLs about this. When stuff malfunctions at the front end...
What happened to the new POS rollout... only two of my cash registers have it now and it’s totally not useful... at we gonna be getting any updates on that?
Over the past couple of months, I've noticed a frequent tech issue involving synchronization between our payment card readers (a/k/a "PIN Pads") and our cash registers.
Those guests who are in the habit of inserting their payment cards into the "PIN pad" before the Advocate has completed...
Does any one know how the checklane coolers are allocated? Do Pepsi and Coke pay Target for a certain amount? I know the adjacency shows where all of the Pepsi ones go and where the Coke ones go. So it would apparently come down from corporate.
My main question is if there is a way to add...
