Last night, I was helping out at guest services and the closing lead asked us to make sure there was nothing left on the desk. There were a couple of items with no packaging or even a brand name to identify them. I tried to look them up on a MyDevice but I couldn't find them so I tossed them in...
Anyone else having trouble with baby registry bags, the barcodes in the bags when scanned, say to not sell and print the little slip saying "Do not sell" . Our GSTL says just give the guest the bag but I don't think that is the correct practice. Any tips?
Details: was hired a week ago as a guest advocate [edit: I have a lot of relative experience for high activity customer service, jobs which ended due to COVID - so I was told during my interviews that they wanted me at the service desk as soon as possible.] , but the next two weeks I’m working...
Hey All!
I’m still confused regarding processing defects. When the label prints out I’m not sure what bin it should be placed in at Guest Services. They have a Salvage/Donate bin. ESIM and a B bin.
Receiving has its own stack of bins but I’m super confused there.
Can someone help me out here...
Greetings. I am just really concerned while working at my Super Target at Guest Service.
At my store, about 1.5 weeks ago, the incoming clothing which had gone into quarantine for three days, suddenly only needed a day before it was put on the floor. I am noticing GSTMs just doing a simple...
In my store weve been getting a lot of style returns because the fitting rooms are closed and my ETL expects us to hang and fold all style returns perfectly. And to be honest I feel like that shouldn’t be my job to do because we’re doing nonstop drive ups with Covid going on wipe and had to...
Hello, I was recently hired at Target so I am unsure of processes and procedures. I got hired in as a guest advocate, however for the next two weeks it seems that I am getting only long (like 7-8 hr) cleaning shifts and nothing else. I was under the impression that I would be working primarily...
We received several new cases of Soda Stream canisters after being out for more than a month. Now the exchange barcode or dpci 072-04-1900 doesn’t work, it causes an error on the POS saying to restart the computer. Has anybody else seen this, is there a workaround?
Just started working in GS. Don't worry, I'm asking lots of questions and my coworkers are a great help. I just want to make sure I know everything I need to know so that I don't make any mistakes when at the SD by myself. I'm going to list everything I know, please fix anything I mess-up or...
A coworker, a regular team member, was granted the ability to do a post-void by one of the team leaders. Many times at guest services, there is no team leader around for approvals, so the more senior team members are given the ability to get approvals and stuff.
Well, soon after she was granted...
I work in Beauty and many times I’ve come upon a guest opening product and applying it. Sometimes it’s nail polish, sometimes makeup. I’ve actually stood next to a mother who let her teenage daughter open a bottle of nail polish and “sample” it on the front of the display unit and then actually...
I tried doing my first Target plus return today and the POS wouldn't let me refund the guest her money. I got to the reason for return screen and then it says "item not found". Can someone walk me through how to do it correctly?
My Service Desk team argues with me every night about this.
They keep throwing this stuff with the E-Waste logo in CRC.
I, a scholar, tell them the Box designation at the bottom (Box B) overrides any logo and thus requires ESIM bagging and zip tying.
I come in the next day, 90,000 of these...
Hello! I’m new to tbr but I’ve been working at Target for +1 year. I’m a Guest Advocate, mostly at Guest Services but sometimes the checklanes. I have 2 questions. 1. We have pretty limited space and especially when there are long lines we end up just putting items either on the short wall...
I'm a GA/GS TM. Sometimes when I go to defect something out, it says it has to go to reverse logistics. One day soon, I'll find this very special place LOL, but what is it and why do things go there instead of the normal defective sort (like toss or salvage). And why the heck would MILK go to...
My store has been cracking down on being stricter with no receipt returns and exchanges, but I've noticed everyone I work with in guest service handles these situations differently. For example, a guest came with a broken air mattress that was worth $100 and wanted to exchange it, but didn't...
Hi all!
What do you all do with defective soda stream returns? I don’t mean co2 exchange, I mean like someone bought a whole sodastream kit (with canister and machine) and it didn’t work?
Defecting it out comes up FL (ESIM), however our receiver told us that the machine must go CRC and the...
So I was trained at guest services today (my first time in the guest service area) and it was so stressful. I felt like a whole mess. I thought it was just going to be simple returns, exchanges, pickups, etc. My trainer was super nice but i felt like i was so annoying since i had to ask for her...
I was trained on GS finally ( normally a cashier) and someone who was training me said from now on to grab a walkie and a zebra in case they start pulling me to work GS. Should I, or should I just not bother? I know normally cashiers don’t need walkies, hence why I’m asking. Could I get in...
