Archived About those seasonal TMs

I just hope I don’t have to hunt down my trainees during their training this year. Had one kid last year who would up and disappear in the middle of training without warning and I would have to spend a good 15-20 minutes running around the store trying to find him. Eventually I gave up on trying to find him and just kept training the other kids. Kicker was eventually he got fired for just disappearing one day in the middle of his shift one time too many. Was no real loss though, he took forever to knock out a single cart of reshop.
Where the heck was he wandering off to? Just staring at the TV wall like a zombie? I guess it was a different place every time if you needed several minutes to find him each time.

Shit seasonals do:

- steal my hours
- break fragile shit
- stow in the wrong fillgroups
- take backstock without unlocating it
- put backstock in fillgroups without locating it
- move too fast with vehicles, turn corners too quickly
- cut open multipacks and stock them as eaches
- swear loudly on the salesfloor
- STEAL MY HOURS
- ignore guests
- argue with leaders about everything
- show up late or call out a lot
- quit without notice after the first week
- hide in the bathroom for 45 minutes
- steal snacks or other items
- meal violations erryday
- leave cardboard in front of the baler
- throw styrofoam and plastic in the baler
- throw boxes in the baler without breaking them down
- Steal. My. Hours.

Shit seasonals do:

- when your TL says they well give you a group of seasonals to help stock all the toys and when the TL get around to checking on you and asks how the newbies are doing and your response is only 3 of the 5 showed up to toys and i gave up trying to find the other 2 .

- when a seasonal is on break and says there going to the gas station what they really mean is unloading trucks is alot harder then they thought and cant stand to unload the 2nd truck after break ao there going to drive off and pretend they never were on flow

Forgot some of NKG'S favorite....

Use customer twenty thousand times!
Say Manager 30 billion time

And last but least...

Suck up to their ETL or TL lol

I can't tell you how many times I've seen it. That one seasonal will be on the radio " I can do that" " LOD I'll do that" " Anything for me to do"

throw boxes in the baler without breaking them down is not a good complaint. Bailer crushs at over a ton per sq inch. Does it mean you need to hit the button more? Yes. But one way or another you arent changing your cardboard time by breaking down or not.

It's minor unless the boxes are the thick double walled ones like detergent comes in, those don't crush very well and end up as a big lump. Try to stack more cardboard on these lumps and it likes to slide out.

those don't crush very well

Yea, you can break those down real easily. Those are actually the ones you put in whole and let the ram do its job. Even let it sit for a bit to develop a bit of compression memory. And don't be shy about repositioning/balancing the load as you go along.

I just cut an X on the bottom of the box to flatten it before placing in the bailer. It's not perfectly flat, but it keeps the balance better.

I did that, too. Lessens the chance of them getting stuck in the back slots, since clearing those slots is a real pain at bale making time.
