This answer may actually be answered somewhere else, but at the moment I'm not finding it....so here goes....
Talked with my STL and asked about the $9.00 base pay. The answer to my question was that anyone who had an hourly rate of less than $9.00 would get a raise to get them to the $9.00. Then, depending on their work review they got an additional % if they qualified for it.
For those of us at (or above) the $9.00 only got our % raise. The STL said that there's nothing that he could do to make any changes to that. I asked why everyone didn't get the $.50 (our starting rate used to be $8.50) to make up for the change and he said that it is only to get the base pay to $9.00 and that there was no way that Target could afford the $.50 increase for all employees.
Before my review I made $9.12 an hour....with my 2% increase I am up to $9.40. So, am I to understand and accept the fact that new TMs will get $9.00 an hour.....and I will only be making $.40 more than some of the TMs that I have already trained?
I have been with my store for nearly 9 years. I'm fairly global. I am a good TM and a team player.
I'm really getting screwed here.....I'm wondering...is there any way possible for me to be able to get that extra $.50 an hour?
If so, who is it that I can talk to to get that difference?
and if not....now I have that extra motivation I need to search for another job.
