Another year of no raises

Any other DCs gotten lucky with raises lately? Our hourly TMs haven't gotten a raise in almost 3 years now.

My area has layoffs at other major corps in similiar pay ranges. Zero chance Target will feel pressure to offer raises.

They did give the lump sum bonus for those maxed out without a raise last year. At least that was something, I guess. Although merits get a raise and a bonus every year, even when on CA

It was added to the TM handbook a couple years ago, so I assume its the new norm for progression TMs if they are maxed out and didn't get a raise the previous year. A few TMs in my department got it a couple weeks ago I think. I'm not at the top of the pay scale so I won't get it for a few years.

Some companies (like walmart) actually cut pay across the board for new employees as soon as the labor market started to 'improve'.

It makes me wonder whether the new hire pay cuts were more in areas that they don't have much competition.

3 years without a raise and with “warehouse associate expansion“ they are paying new hires significantly less.

I assume that they are probably planning to make outbound TMs into warehousing associates and all PIT drivers can come from other departments.

Nah they aren’t gonna force it, what they are going to do is bring in a mass of new hire warehouse associates for peak to do lanes. OB Warehouse workers not sorting/QCing will either be flexed out to warehouse, or sent home.

Arent all of the equipment equiped with the devices that require using badge to sign on now?
Otherwise the Training Specialists maintain a spreadsheet with every TMs equipment and specialty function training so an OM can look it up if they suspect a TM is using something they shouldnt.

Do you mean the reason for no raises? I think the MAGA line is, unskilled people, like those that work at Target, should consider themselves lucky to make $8-11 an hour. That way all of the people who are earning their $20-100 an hour can pay less for their groceries and other essentials like their Stanley cups at places like Target.

So you think MAGA proposes that we need to raise the wages of the workers at the bottom and that will help with inflation, and it is just my imagination that they oppose any kind of over $10 an hour minimum wage. Or do you not think target is a minimum wage plus $1-2 kind of a business for team members?

Uncle Joe has been saying things that were problematic since he started in politics.
From what I gather it comes from his way of dealing with his speech impediment where he doesn't freeze up if he just says whatever comes into his mind.
I do that because of my AD/HD but I sure as hell don't recommend it for a politician.
He usually doesn't mean anything wrong by it, just worded it really stupidly.
Sometimes stuff comes out that is really good like him pushing the White House into supporting same sex marriage well before it was ready to.
Other times it makes you wonder what the hell is going on in his head if anything.

Given a choice between him and 45 I'll take him every time but man I wish we had better choices.
