What I am pointing out is that people are wrongly blaming corporate for the equipment shortage when it is the store's fault for not properly maintaining their equipment

The fact so many of our stores have equipment issues shows that it's not only a problem at the store level.

Once it became obvious that every store would have a rotating door of equipment the wise thing to do would be to have a surplus of equipment to account for the attrition. Instead we continue to run on bare bones and it's not fair to make people do their job on their personal devices. I shouldn't have to go on my phone at work to find out if another store has am item or not.

The survey question didn't specify if it was corporate or the stores fault. The fact is tms don't get the equipment they need and Target deserves the lowest score possible in that category until they figure it out.

Sorry. Can't justify Target's selection of the apple devices. Sure, Target can supply ample devices, but do they actually *work?*

And, no they don't work -- certainly not well enough to be used as a core resource for 1/2 the team.
Not Apple's fault. 3rd party vendor, Honeywell, the same company that makes the crappy heaters we sell. Oh and the hacked kludge software is right proper crap

It's not mandatory however stores and leaders are judged on how many tms take it. Hence the "you have to take it" spiel they gave you.

Their bonuses are tied to it so expect food in the breakroom this week.

I had to chase down Team Members all day to get them to take the survey. We also had food catered 🙄. No, we are not trying to bribe you at all lol.

True although the battery going from 75 percent immediately down to 10 is a classic apple feature.

We currently have 8 mydevices out. The ones we do have don't work either. We have maybe 2 that actually work at any given time. There's some things that I just can't do sometimes because of this.

OMG - I had someone ask me if I took it - but I hadn't been told anything about it. But this totally explains the huge amount of food in the breakroom.

I'm going to take it next time I go in provided it's available. That way I get it done on my own time and then when they call me in to do it...I'll just sit and state at the screen for 10 minutes and then get back to my job.

Just don't care for the idea of having some sort of personal record for themselves of who and when they took this survey...whether they'd exploit that is another matter.

Either way, I expect hours to be added and food to be in the break room around this period...so let's look at the positives.

You took all the words out of my mouth and mind. I refuse to use my phone at work.

Take it as many times as you like use whatever computer that has ehr in it.

Click on instocks Plano all the time as your work center and strongly disagree to all

Then watch the DTL and VPs visit your store when the results come in.

Lol screw target like they did your merit increase

The only problem with this in theory is it raises the engagement score right? The store is judged not just on the ratings but also based on how many people take it. If you take it twice it makes it look like leadership got everyone to take it.

Most TL's drink too much koolaid or lack the backbone to say anything that might bite them in the ass. They avoid making waves, further allowing the deterioration of the work life the average employee has to deal with.

There is also the issue of them getting a direct link to the survey. Not so anonymous I bet! Lol however someone said it best a TL should have told leadership already how they really feel.

If you are asked to take the survey and you don't want to, just say "i would rather not" The person asking will say why not, its anonymous we just want to know how we are doing. Simply reply again "Id rather not" . Each ETL will be held accountable for their results. You want to see some real backstabbing? The day the results come in and all the ETLS see how they are perceived. They will twist those returns and point out another ETLS bad ones too. Its like the Hunger Games, Target version #3. If you take it and choose not to answer those are all counted as negative responses anyway. The HRETL has a percentage goal she has to hit for participation. Im sure somewhere in her sparkly candy filled office she/he has a roster printed out and his highlighting as team members complete theirs. The last few days email will be sent on who still needs to be snagged. Just say you already have taken it. They REALLY can't track who did and who didnt at the team member level. If you want to be visited every single week by the DTL and HRBPs toss those ETLS and TLs under the bus back up and run over them again. As much as that may excite you remember the hand wringing and overly nice walkie chatter will intensify by 1000% during those visits. Personally I will use the same scale i was reviewed on. Delivered Exceptional Outcomes- Very Satisfied; Delivered Important Outcomed- neither satisfied or dissatisfied and so on. Seems fair to me

One more little thing... Remember how when given your review you were told "Don't forget this is for the whole year?" Well same goes for the BTS. The question that is there How do you feel we are doing as a company (or something like that) Don't forget about the bathroom PR fiasco. I have the Equipment necessary - Sure we got a shit ton of new devices a few months back. But during Christmas 10 total;...10. Work life balance- Remember working 36 hours in 3 days during black Friday weekend. You get the picture. Don't let your store induced sugar coma cloud your mind. Remember its for the whole year.

Interesting hearing about food being provided while the survey is going on. I was told a couple of years back by a DTL and my old ETL that this shouldn't be occurring as it could be perceived as potentially influencing the results. We do an appreciation event a few days prior to the survey at my store, but not during one as far as I can remember. Could just be a thing in my district.

Also, as far as equipment, I know for a fact that we lose productivity without sufficient and effective gear. This translates into lots of money lost in payroll times days of the year times number of stores in the company. Then you have to factor in the effects that inefficiency has on sales. They need some serious cost analysis going on. It's an obvious area of improvement for the company. Investing in the right tech and equipment is vital in this day and age. You think Amazon short changes their warehouses on gear? On the other side of the argument, I do believe there also needs to be a more controlled environment for the issuance of equipment in the stores. I know some still lock it down like mine used to be good at, but many have fallen off of this and it's just as important to protect these assets like anything else, especially if they do invest more in keeping the stores adequately equipped.

Lmao myself and another TL at my store are probably the most openly critical people there. Not bringing up worries can lead to bad things.

Y'all are rarities amongst TLs from those I've been around.

Equipment availability will be what will make or break E2E, (that and whether or not all Target TM's can comprehend taking on ALL tasks).

IMO if this is truly E2E, Cashiers should be fully trained as well....

Just like now-a-days if their is a draft, Ladies are just as much likely to be drafted as myself.

Not to mention if you do bring them up you can always be that ass with the "Well, I told ya so" remark. (The only 2 reasons I bring up worries is this, and because it may give me more work in the end than I could possibly do as 1 human being).

So do we have to take the BTS in TSC? Or can I just borrow the receiving computer so I can take it without half the store's on-duty ETLs and SrTLs eyeing me?

You can take it on any computer in the store. Just open up the eHR login page and click "opinion survey."

I took mine on the receiving computer first thing this morning.

Does it differentiate between TL and ETL specific questions? Or do I review both as if they did the same amount? I'd hate for my awesome ETLs bonus to tank only because my TL is almost completely hated.

Your ETL HR should explain. The wording is intended to differentiate between your etl and direct supervisor (team lead) if I remember correctly
