MEGATHREAD End to End team PILOT

Just saw this on the Target FB site. LMAO!!! This is not the type of experience we want???? Really??

Please reconsider your policy of restocking shelves in weekends. That’s your busiest time and it’s so hard to shop when the store is packed with people and the isles are full of boxes........

Target Hello Julie - We appreciate you reaching out to us in regard to this matter. This is not the type of experience that we want for our guests. We want to ensure that this matter is handled accordingly. Could you please provide us with the store location that this occurs at? We eagerly await your response and truly value you as a loyal Target guest. - Tabatha

That's what you get for moving overnights to a 4am and 4ams to 6ams. Pallets everywhere.

What sucks is if that person reports the store number their flow team will get told they are too slow.

It was the middle of the afternoon when the lady complained to me about employees being in her way while she was trying to shop.

The flow team will be blamed no matter what. it is the nature of things. we are used to it an no longer think there is a possibility of not getting blamed for something. we roll with it.

I'm sick and tired of people shitting on A&A/softlines/style/what have you. I personally have pushed an entire truck alone. I've covered phones while working price change or trying to push a truck. I've spent a single shift pushing a truck, doing a department of price change, backstocking, and doing an RFID scan. All in one shift. I have worked a shift with non-softlines folks helping me and have still managed to get the entire truck pushed, backstocked, and price change completed. I have pulled endless POGs cause the backroom folks were too busy. I've had to help numerous backroom/SFS folks find SL items. Answered the questions of many cashiers and new tms we have helping us out currently while doing everything else. But oh all we do is screw around and mess stuff up right?

So you did my typical In stocks shift then..

Lol I've dabbled in instocks a bit and its pretty darn exhausting. Salesfloor to shoot research, backroom to pull it, repeat, then STL: Doglover! Why didn't you shoot this endcap in market? Me: Umm... cause the SRTL/LOD only asked me to shoot endcaps in domestics today?

Nice. I don't only do SL/fitting room BTW, I also can work pretty much every other work center in the store with one or two exceptions. And what is it you do, pray tell? You obviously think you're better than me/SL.

I don't think anyone has a problem with you. We have softlines team members who can do it all, work in the backroom, push like crazy and sell to guest. I'm calling out those ones who text behind z racks, throw crap around the backroom and somehow they still got a raise.

That is the easy part..

And us on the flow team blame dayside for everything...it's the circle of life. Only difference being if we don't get done, we weren't fast enough. If dayside doesn't get done, they had too many guests or were shorthanded (even though we had 3 call-ins and were shorthanded to begin with). lol

In our backroom today I counted 28 repacks of softlines. It has been like this for weeks. The last time this happened they sent one of the new e2e tms back there to backstock. I didn't know this until the next morning when the bkrm tl brought out the pulls. A huge flat. The e2e team doesn't realize that after days of sitting back there you need to challenge it out then backstock. What a fucking disaster. #End E2E

That's because (at least in our case) the backroom TLs didn't care enough to make sure we were properly trained. I have no idea what you're talking about with this "challenge it out then backstock it" line. Obviously somewhere along the way someone taught you that. I wasn't even really taught how to backstock except as a : scan this box, scan the shelf, tell it how many.... But now that I know this is a thing, you can bet I'll be asking about it. :p

Asants As an original softlines flow team member I also had piss poor training. Over the next 6 years it has only gotten worse. When you have a Etl ge running a logistics process it ain't gonna work. Backstock that sits in the backroom for at least 3 days should be "challenged out". It simply means load the repacks on a flat, bring out to floor and push it out, exactly as you would if it just came off the truck. In my store the backroom tl was told softlines and market is no longer his concern. I realize you don't know, what you don't know. I have back stocked for years along with pushing truck. And I repeat, in my store, the softlines tl and Etl ge are ruining softlines. Good luck!

What about when the ETL's load batches behind you then wonder why you haven't taken care of them?

Challenge is when you scan something to backstock it and get the message saying that it should fit on the floor. At my store we used to also "challenge" backstock that had been sitting for a while by just sending it out on a pull or putting it with truck push.

I think there are tms who mess around, text, etc. from every workcenter in the store. What I'm objecting to is people making the assumption that softlines tm=idiot who can't do their own job correctly, let alone anything else. Some of us do it all on our E2E tms and can work in many other work areas as well.

Remember when people said that about flow TMs?

Now that softlines is higher paid and has a lot of TMs, you guys get to endure animosity from the rest of the store. Softlines is the new Flow in terms of the most hated workcenter.

Well I had a melt down & almost walked out store the other day within first hour.
To recap My store went full on E2E in July without any training. Electronics, MMB, and softlines all doing great. Rest of store bomb. Truck push never finished, building up, price change sitting in backroom right to salvage. So answer, pull teams that are functioning to run around store help catch them up. Enter 2 weeks ago someone in management gets a nut about POG workload & has personally scheduled us to the minute on how long POG says it should take. Has she factored in guest service? Back-up cashier. Huddle projects. CAF/autos PLUS every freakin POGS I've been getting the capacities have be changed.

Those TMs that do the workload aren't the ones people have a problem with. However, the ones who don't do their original workload, let alone E2E. The ones who still allow the rest of the store to do their tasks for them.. that's the case where I think most of us have a problem with the paygrade.

What’s funny is, it seems like SL has always been the most hated by leadership since they pretty much ignore it until a visit is near.

What I have seen being with this company and several diffenernt stores is a number of things. Areas of accountability being the BIGGEST "Opportunity" for the lack of productivity across the board. Now that honestly has change over the years as how we have delegated new ownership to different workcenters and leadership. (End to end Clusterfuck)! What I have seen gives the best results and the best for team morale as a whole is when we HONESTLY work together. I know it sounds VERY cliche, but it does honestly work. Just because X team member works overnight flow doesn't mean that what he/she does or doesn't do has no impact on Y cashier during their shift. What I mean is they Honestly do go hand in hand. Same goes for signing getting to put they signs up so guests can have an enjoyable experience. Now what does signing have to do with my Apprehensions in AP HIM? Well I'm glad you asked. With those signs NOT being placed correctly, Guests get frustrated and slowly start to dwindle. Dwindling guests means cutting your already short AP hours even shorter. Starbucks don't assist little Jimmy for they hot fudge sundae? It honestly falls on EVERYONE. Dayside,Midshift, Closer And Overnight. When we get off this "Blame game" and just work together to please our true bosses (The Guests), then we will be successful across the board. Long rant but needed to be said.

one small quibble our true boss is not the STL, the guests or any of that. it is WallStreet.

I order all my AP teams AP fixtures, mostly because AP's going SAP happy, can end in a bunch of weird.

No, YOU don't. But while YOU deserve the raise most A&A didn't. Most A&A can barely be operator, do their racks, backstock and zone in 8hrs.

We are not attacking you. We are attacking the fact that most of your fellows in other stores were undeserving because the real work in THOSE stores happens in hardlines. I have mostly good people, but I am surrounded by stores that don't. And we hear about it.
