Once the access code is visable then there’s nothing to keep the gc secure at all
Yeah yesterday was fun. I got to ring up a $1300 transaction...all paid with $5, $10, $15, and $20 gift cards.
It was a group of teachers shopping for new clothes and toys for some of their less fortunate students. And the gift cards were all donated by other families to the school. Took over an hour to do the whole transaction... scratching and keying the gift cards alone took at least 20 min.

I tried yesterday, but was told that function was not available at the time. Now, it was a group of five cards that the first had received moments earlier by stocking up on a variety of cleaning supplies and paper goods, so maybe there's just a normal delay and I tried it too quickly.Haven't tried it myself yet, but can you combine gift cards without typing in the access code?
Why is a tps ringing up a transaction?
They allowed you to go from AP to non-AP in the same store? Normally that's a no-no unless you take a TL or higher role. Even then it's discouraged.Haha, apparently I haven’t updated my profile recently. I left AP back in June at a time when there were virtually no hours for TPS in our store. At that time there was also a GSTL and GSA both on leave, and another GSA who put in her 2 weeks. So, they threw me back up front to cover and I’ve been there since.

Maybe it's a district thing. When I was a TPS, unless the APBP and HRBP both gave the okay, we couldn't take non AP roles in the same store. They made exceptions for TL promotions if they really wanted you in the role. But more often than not I saw AP get turned down for work center changes within the same store. There's a lot of things a tps can do that an aps couldn't. At my old store one had a roommate in electronics.
We had a tps on here who said he had a girlfriend in the store.
I think because TPS aren't always completely in the loop when it comes to internals some stores are a little more lax on what they let them do.
I've seen three TPS people move to hardlines or SFS in the last year. One decided to go back to school and were told that they could change availability as a TPS. Don't know about the other two. They allowed you to go from AP to non-AP in the same store? Normally that's a no-no unless you take a TL or higher role. Even then it's discouraged.
