Every MayHi all,
I just started working at Target about 2 months ago and I'm wondering if you ever get a pay raise? If you don't become a team lead and just stay a regular team member, is there any way to get a pay raise?
Thanks.
That is so unfair. You would think a multi million dollar Corp that is concerned about retention rates, they would “bump” long time hires every time the minimum for a specific job was raised. Reward those that have stayed. No way is it fair that someone seasoned and fully trained should be making the same as a hire off the street.
They used to be able to. It’s been a few years since I knew for sure though, so that may have changed. Are store directors able to give discretionary raises outside the performance review season?
No, but DTLs can. You had better be so awesome your DTL knows your name and face before you even think about asking. Are store directors able to give discretionary raises outside the performance review season?
And if you're at that point, odds are they are already eyeing you for TL or ETL positions anyway. No, but DTLs can. You had better be so awesome your DTL knows your name and face before you even think about asking.
I've been with the company a long time and had this happen 3 times. It did go through DTL and yes, they all know my name because I'm that good.🙄🙄Nope. I’ve been with the company a long time and it’s never happened, only at review time.
