MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

You have to change all the backer paper to the new colors. Like unknown said the toys for life change to the white pegged wifi. Blue for PlayStation, green for Xbox, red for Nintendo. You also have to change the one aisle with the computer games/nop/sims and the one 4 foot section with the anti virus cds/Windows 8/ Microsoft office stuff.

Did anyone receive the new backer paper for the guitar hero display ec and the Lego dimensions ec. ( not the inline) On the line listing, it has a different dpci from the ones I have. I'm assuming the vendor will bring that with them.

Do the flow TMs know how to set? If so, then it seems very possible to do.
If not, I don't know how you all can get it done! Hopefully one of them knows how to pull so they can take care of batches.

I would suggest (if the flow TMs don't know how to set) that the flow TMs de-merchandise the cases and stage the product for each section the games are moving to (for Xbox/Playstation).
After that one person can put the games back where they go. The other TMs can de-merch the aisle where Toys to Life is going (emptying cases, de-merching) and then push the aisle once it's been set.
The TL may be able to teach one of the flow TMs how to set pretty quickly for the value/PC aisle - considering the shelves don't change.
The TL will really have to set the Interactive Gaming/Toys to Life POGs since they have pegs and that takes a little more time to teach people how to set.

(Side note, I wish I would have left the preview endcap up since (at least at my store) it's supposed to be Guitar Hero and that doesn't release for a little while and now it's empty.

Yeah I got everything done but the Infinity/Skylanders and NOP done. Lego dimensions vendor has their backer paper, not sure if guitar hero has theirs or no, as the display hasn't come in to my store

Crossing my fingers vendor has it or it comes with the display closer to launch. We knocked out the easy endcaps plus the nop/cell phone games aisle today. Backer paper changes, adding regular shelves, etc took me and the electronics tm all day. Of course I was on call for signing as well.

I thought the plaid overheads had to be done Sunday before the store opened for the release?
 
All of our overheads are up. I Was told just the Adam Lippes signing couldn't be up until Sunday. The overheads go above merchandise that we are already selling.
 
Didn't get Jack shit of mine done today. They were busy setting Christmas sheets instead of the plaid endcaps. Wouldn't share the wave. I have to come in super early Sunday to get it done. I almost quit today I was so mad.
 
What signing was there specifically for Adam Lippes stuff then? The furniture 2 focal? I didn't receive my signing pallet this week (I'm assuming it will come on one of my two days off) so I don't have anything really aside from the overheads..

We're the toppers and return policies in the same box as the overheads and rack sides? Still haven't find them but I didn't dig much.

Can't your opening electronics TM push that for you? We are having our closing team push it tonight after store close since we have a small ad set team in the morning.
 
Our Adam Lippe convertibles are set and signed and sitting in the backroom ready to be pushed to the floor when we close tonight. The SL TL is closing tonight so she will hang the over heads and get the other racks set up so we don't have to worry about it tomorrow. Thankfully the ETL SF and the SL TL were able to take care of that signing when they set the convertibles and de-trashed the rest of the merchandise so my signing TM didn't have to worry about it and come in on Sunday to do it. We always plan it that way with the designer releases.
 
I would have liked to get the signing ready but I work Sunday-Thurs and the pallet with the Adam Lippe just didn't arrive last week, hopefully it came in Friday or Saturday. I think the last designer release that my store had 'ready in the back' before closing was Missoni. It's always just delegated to any sad softlines team member they can schedule for 4am on that Sunday, usually not even a TL, and have them push off of all the pallets in the back.

The way the signing and displays have been coming in is out of control. For a big release like this you would think we should have our signing on time and not sent at the last minute. We got our plaid overheads on 2 different trucks last week just thrown in under pallets. Our lego display was delivered Fed-Ex on Thursday. How hard is it just get our stuff on time?
 
I haven't received the Adam lippes signing yet. Hopefully it came in Friday or this Monday coming. It's not cool sending everything at the last minute!!

My signing pallet last week had every box miss marked. I had pets signing in rtw boxes, soft lines signing in hardlines sales planner boxes , and the plaid signing came in loose on the truck all smashed to hell.
 
Do all the plaid overheads for the end caps go up? Most don't have locations or future dates. Should I just put up what matches the header?

Not all of them match. There's a map on the instruction sheet. The audit guide also tells you what matches.
