So in huddle today, we were told that SUBT was coming to iPods next week. It'd be nice if we could pull batches as well.

I'm pretty sure we are replacing all of the old school PDAs with MyDevices. All of the backroom functions should arrive in the next week or so.
I could be wrong though. I'll miss RF Apps

LPDAs are rumored to be on the way out during bounceback. PDAs will be around for a while, but stores may have their device count reduced. Theoretically, only TMs whose roles require a PDA will need them.
That being said, one of my fellow price change TMs was spotted with a PDA recently with a sketchy reason as to why she had it. We think she is secretly using it to scan softlines when we aren't looking. Ranks right up there with our PTL "checking" workload on a PDA and then remembering that doing so activates balloon audits. Nothing like activating 100s of price cut labels that are already up.

Oh man ... we didnt use the PDA for 3 weeks so all the audits were just stacking up in the PDA. An ETL one friday, who has nothing to do with price change at all decided to look at our workload which was already complete for the day, and saw all the audits and thought we didnt finish. She then proceeds to clear out every single audit in the PDA. On monday we had over 2,000 price cut labels to scan out .. i was so livid, i think it took us an hour and a half just to scan them all out. And we had to use PDAs because it would have taken way too long on the my device ... still dont know why she was snooping our workload

Per Ulguy-"To clarify, the January update will include SUBT, STO, and QMOS. Things like SDA and PCV are coming later. The ability to PULL batches is still not slated to be developed anytime soon. No word on if/when that is coming; but I'll keep you posted as I learn more."

... And on Monday I have to come in and update all of our mydevices.

So do I. Already got my plan in place. Also going to renumber them. Most of ours have no number or faded or ripped or anything else

Most of the long-time TMs and TLs at my store don't touch the MyDevices. I used a PDA when I worked at Target a few years ago, but was handed a MyDevice and told that they had replaced PDAs when I came back for this season. It wasn't until a few shifts later that I realized almost no one actually uses them.

SUBT and QMOS on the MyDevice will give me everything that I had missed from the PDA.

I like the iPods, but I'm not convinced they are here to stay unless they get it together... I think I'm just tired of having to switch between 2 devices all day....

They're cheap, therefore here to stay. The people making the decision aren't actually going to ever use them.

Does anybody know when bcode will be coming? That and printing reg. tickets (Just DPCI and Price on a very small ticket) are the very things that I am going to need to use the PDAs for. Otherwise, I think that everything that I need to do regularly is on the myDevices after the update. Also, do the updates NEED to be completed during that time frame in the morning. I am the DA for my store, but I am still in HS. My ETL said that she was going to come in and do them if they can not be done outside of that time frame.

Someone needs to figure out a way to block certain functions on the myDevice, namely the one which erases its Target memory. We have four that have had to be returned because someone reset to factory. There are no replacements available at this time. So if we kill four a week, by bounce back, we'll be bouncing back to our LPDAs and PDAs.

I made a In Store Creation Task on REDwire for the LOD to ensure all iPods are accounted for so I can get them all updated tomorrow morning. Just checked it and the task hasn't even been Reviewed yet... I guess no surprise there. I hope they are all there tomorrow. I'm not going to waste time hunting down iPods all morning. I have other tasks to complete. But the update is for REDwire. The change is when you sign in you are logged in on any other apps that require you to sign in. Don't know how that will work when you sign out. The same I suppose.

That's what the REDwire message was about that it had it REDwire on there, I didn't know. But I get all 18 of our iPods out today and prepped to update just for my ETL to tell me that it was postponed and failed to communicate this to me and the ETL-GE. That it one of my pet peeves is no communication on issues. And no word on when it will update again. To answer your other question I don't know what coming in myGO. I've never played around on it. Someone said more info will be available as it gets closer to update time in a few weeks.

It's pretty darn easy..
STO: Scan an item > Scan a BR loc > Type quantity
SUBT: Scan an item > Tap the item description to go to 'TMI' mode > Tap (Take+) > Scan the loc > Type in quantity
QMOS: On the 'TMI' page, at the very bottom of the screen, it will say Toss. It will ask a reason and a quantity.

Notes: If you're already on the 'extra info page' you will stay there if you scan another item so it's literally scan item > Take > Scan location > quantity.. Also, it won't let you take from a location that doesn't already have a record of the item (meaning I don't think you can SUBT9999 things).. And also, it DOES challenge freight

By record, I mean the item has either been STO'd in intentionally or added as a baffle.

90% of the stuff I reset the accumulator on doesn't have a location and I don't know enough about the accumulator to know if your suggestion would reset it or not.

SUBT 9999 and when the gun prompts if you pulled all or not, you hit no, then you key you however many are still there, that's how you properly update the QTY in that location.

This is how you reset the accumulator on an item that doesn't have a backroom location. When you select no and put the correct quantity, it doesn't create a baffle.

If you subt ANY quantity of a dpci from any backroom loc in which that dpci is not already located... you have created a baffle... regardless if you put the correct qty in afterwards. I ran the best and most accurate BR in my group for years and the company for one.

Actually, SUBT does not create baffles. A baffle would only be created if you scanned the unlocated item while pulling a batch. That is why you're able to use SUBT9999 to reset the accumulator without destroying your BRLA.
