MEGATHREAD Target myDevices

If you subt ANY quantity of a dpci from any backroom loc in which that dpci is not already located... you have created a baffle... regardless if you put the correct qty in afterwards. I ran the best and most accurate BR in my group for years and the company for one.

If this was the case, I would have so many baffles, any reasonable BRTM would never let me within 20ft of those double doors. I usually have the best accuracy % with only ~3 baffles on a 2500 batch week. I'm the TM that stands on a soap box shouting things like back stocking identical different items together and over filling wacos.

There was a RedWire in the system today had to dig through and find it... Says the week of 1/18 the update is hitting stores, with a store specific list attached. Exactly what does the update entail? Says more information as the update comes closer.... hah
If the info that other TMs have posted is correct, then the update the week of the 18 should include the ability to backstock and pull items from the Backroom and also I believe QMOS.
I may have misunderstood, but I thought that is what was supposed to come tomorrow. I never heard of the 18th update.
No, REDwire app update(on GS iPad & myDevices) is tomorrow morning 7am to 10am local time. The week of the 18 are myWork, Cartwheel, Target, & myGO(on the GS iPad) app updates with a Excel spreadsheet of store-specific update days and local times.
I believe they are the same update... I asked during the huddle on Mondat when my store would be installing the update, and was informed that it had been delayed 2-3 weeks.

I'm really tired of having to hunt down a PDA or chase down and bother a BR TM every time I pull an item for a guest. Last time I just took a picture of the DPCI and BR location with the MyDevice so I wouldn't keep the guest waiting, but got busy at close and forgot to go back with a PDA... tried to fix it when I remembered two days later, but got a stern lecture from my TL and then a BR TL for even attempting to pull something on my own (even though I was just trained).

So...

SUBT999 work on the mydevice or no anyone confirm cause it's going back and forth

I don't think we reached a conclusion on that, as you can't subtract from a location that doesn't have the item already in it. While it was suggested by anon to STO first then SUBT 9999, I haven't actually tested the process, so I can't say for sure. On that note, if I have to take the time to make sure the item is STOwed first, I think I would rather just use a PDA to reset things.

I'll try to grab a myDevice today and play around with it some more.

LPDAs are rumored to be on the way out during bounceback. PDAs will be around for a while, but stores may have their device count reduced. Theoretically, only TMs whose roles require a PDA will need them.
That being said, one of my fellow price change TMs was spotted with a PDA recently with a sketchy reason as to why she had it. We think she is secretly using it to scan softlines when we aren't looking. Ranks right up there with our PTL "checking" workload on a PDA and then remembering that doing so activates balloon audits. Nothing like activating 100s of price cut labels that are already up.

In my store, price change gets to use a PDA, still. They get em, backroom does and I think instocks does. I'm not sure if instocks is officially allowed or if they're just getting them anyway.

Pretty sure my store hasn't even attempted price change on the mydevices.

You guys are lucky. They are making us use the mydevices. They suck. Every week we have had the lowest score in the district because none of the other stores are using them and the mydevices dont count all the tickets correctly.

LOL the mydevices lasted less than an hour, on the first day, with the IS team and PC stopped using them shortly after that. The only people who ever grab them are SOME salesfloor and the ETLs. I'm getting sick and tired of going in at 6 and not being able to find a PDA while most of the flow team has one and they're horrible at pushing to 2nd locations.

RF apps is just a telnet connection to the store's server, and there are many telnet applications available for iOS. If corporate wanted to help TMs out they would just pre-configure one to say "RF apps" instead of "telnet" and install it on all the iPods for everyone to use until they get shit sorted. Oh well, wishful thinking...

As far as I know, the scanner case doesn't work natively with apps outside of myWork so they'd still have to make an app from the ground up.

Also, I've used SSH clients with my old iphone and I don't even want to think about having to pull a batch that way. I'll wait for the nice fancy gui (if they decide to ever port PULL over).

I can't stand using a PDA for Instocks anymore. I hate toggling between 4 apps.

Some of our instocks team are older... And some are probably hoarding the PDAs because they have larger hands? Haha.. Idk, that's my guess. I also think one you've had more than one connectivity problem on a my device, you're just kinda over it.

I use beta software in my everyday life often enough to keep giving it a shot, but I know some sales floor people seem to prefer nothing over the iPods.

subt and sto are now working. subt is surprisingly better on the mydevive, however they still suck.

Where is it? Ours went through an update. The only thing I see different is that the stockroom locations are listed by default, rather than by tapping fill from stockroom, then the item description again to see locs.

It's pretty darn easy..
STO: Scan an item > Scan a BR loc > Type quantity
SUBT: Scan an item > Tap the item description to go to 'TMI' mode > Tap (Take+) > Scan the loc > Type in quantity
QMOS: On the 'TMI' page, at the very bottom of the screen, it will say Toss. It will ask a reason and a quantity.

Tried that, it does not work. For both sto and subt

Sounds like you don't have the update that allows you to do those things then :<

What MyWork version is the sto/subt update? The last update for mine took the version to 0.18.55

I think they are really cool. but I think they look too much like a phone. I have had guests come up to me when I was using the Mydevice and say "stop using your phone and help us"

I get that look a lot. I just wish Spot's fix was more than saying 'Well, you should be engaging and vibing with the guests'

Instocks is allowed. Counts don't update with my device. Price change should use my device.. I use PDA to do price challenge. I use my device for everything else. POG fills much quicker

This is a reason why I make it obvious to anybody who I help that the MyDevice is equipment from Target. They ask if we have something in the back, I very explicitly say "Let me just check on our new PDAs"

Sure it kinda sounds goofy but it's something that I can do to spread information that THESE ARE NOT ACTUAL PERSONAL PHONES.
